Very unprofessional, and very disappointing. Customer service was unacceptable. I was told that the car was not modified , but that was a big lie. I requested to put the car on the lift so I can Customer service was unacceptable. I was told that the car was not modified , but that was a big lie. I requested to put the car on the lift so I can do an inspection underneath ,and that’s when I realized that the car had been modified. By that time I had already put a deposit to buy the car. Two of their mechanics informed me that some of the gaskets needed to be replaced for safety. When I confronted the service manager about the modifications, and to also replace the gaskets for me before I pick up the car, he tried to tell me that it’s a modified exhaust and they’re not sure if they can find the exact gaskets. That was a red flag number 1 . I also requested if I can take it to Subaru as a third-party inspection hoping to get an extended warranty, and my salesman told me that the general manager told him that I wasn’t allowed to. That was a red flag number 2 for me. To top it off ,when I confronted the general manager about them being shady, and why all the lies, instead of him taking accountability for the incompetence of his salesman ,he sold the car to someone else before I even got my deposit back. They’re super nice to you trying to convince you to buy a car but if you challenge them in anyway , that politeness goes out the window. Everyone please be careful when buying a used vehicle. Always request a third-party inspection. It’s your right as a consumer. Get an extended warranty if you can . In my opinion, they’re very shady . It was definitely an unpleasant experience. Definitely would not be going there again. More

Today I went around 11:00 am to Jeanneth Lagman assistant service manager. When I dropped off my car I informed them the only needed service was to perform transmission service Ws. Remove contaminated fluid service manager. When I dropped off my car I informed them the only needed service was to perform transmission service Ws. Remove contaminated fluid and replace it with new fluid. At that time she did not mention anything about the airbag light which was not there when I dropped off my car. But then later she called me and informed me about the airbag light and she mentioned that the technician confirmed that there is a light that needs to be diagnosed and she asked me for $340 for labour charge. Over the phone she kept insisting to get the airbag diagnosed and she asked me to come over and show me where the light is coming out since I also asked the safety check. She changed me $200 for the safety check of which my car did not pass because of the light. When I went to pick up my car Jeanneth or the technician was not able to show me the airbag light that stayed on and forced me to pay the safety check price even though they didn’t complete the safety check throughly. This is a big SCAM by Scarborough Toyota to cheat innocent people who really don’t know about their car. The total came to 579 dollars and 55 cents. Very disappointed with Scarborough Toyota and I will let my family and friends know not to come. More
