Don’t trust any of these shady Toyota salesmen from Scarborough Toyota. I made a special trip to Toronto from Sarnia to see at 2010 Tundra I saw on their website. The truck wasn’t even there. One of the employees had taken it away for the weekend. What a way to rack up kilometers, eh? I got the salesman’s number and we picked another day for me to come and check it out. That was today. I got out of work early – losing two hours pay – and he asked that I call him before I left to confirm my 6:00 pm appointment with him. An hour into my drive, he calls my cell phone to tell me that another customer was looking at the truck currently and just put a deposit on it. First come, first serve is the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard when I had an appointment with that truck. Don’t you think I’m serious about this truck if I am driving 3½ hours to see it? You may have sold the truck, but you lost a customer. Any good businessman would know that it costs more to gain new customers than to maintain old ones. This specific Toyota dealership has ZERO integrity and doesn’t care about customers, just MONEY. Definitely NOT worth the drive. All the better, though, I’ll continue to drive my 2010 Honda Civic around, proudly. More

Hi guys, As usual when putting in an offer and using a trade-in, it's always hit and miss whether a dealer will offer true value for the vehicle. In my case, they offered me only 10% of the total value in the Kelley Blue Book. They trot out reasons (excuses) and try to make it sound like the Kelley Blue Book isn't valid because it's a US-based tool. They advertise that they pay top dollar on trade-ins, but I think in this case, they didn't want to mess with their margins on a Prius C. Sad thing is, they would have turned around and sold my car, for which they were offering only $500 for over $4000. This is based on listings for the same car with the same mileage in the area on multiple dealer sites. So if you've got a trade-in, don't believe their hype! These guys won't offer anywhere near top-dollar. My local Honda dealer offered my 6 times more for the exact same car, so buyer beware. These guys had a solid chance to change a Honda guy into a Toyota guy (they have more hybrid options - sorry Honda) but they played the lowball card instead. Good luck in your trade-in travels! More
