If you are planning to buy a Toyota I would strongly suggest you stay away from this dealership. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership. My experience with Scarborough Toyota & George Chau has been nothing short of a nightmare. I wasn't happy with my first lease but I had made it to the end, George was very pushy to get me into a new lease been nothing short of a nightmare. I wasn't happy with my first lease but I had made it to the end, George was very pushy to get me into a new lease even though I could have owned the 2019 Corolla I was used to for only $12000. I could have financed it for another 2 or 3 years and owned it! however George kept only showing me prices for a new lease even after repeatedly asking him to show me my options for buyout. He told me the 2022 is the EXACT same car as my 2019 but it has been completely different. I was taken by surprise as I didn't get to test drive it which should have been a red flag but they said it wasn't in yet. So now I'm stuck with a uncomfortable terribly functioning vehicle for 5 years and I'm told there's nothing anyone can do about it. That doesn't sound like good customer service or good salesmanship. I think you should do better, the fact I was told that it was the exact same car and it wasn't and didn't get to test drive it before deciding is ridiculous. Fair warning to anyone dealing with these people, they do NOT care about the customers just sales. I get it, it's a business but you don't need to be a liar to make money. Why not just be really good at what you do? and do that with every customer, not just your friends with the 5 star reviews.. More

"Buyer Beware" I purchased a Certified Toyota Highlander from the dealer. After a few weeks I noticed that the passenger side headlight is not pointing upright to the car in front. Initially I was looking t from the dealer. After a few weeks I noticed that the passenger side headlight is not pointing upright to the car in front. Initially I was looking to see if there is a setting but then there was none. I used to work in car manufacturing 20 years back and basis that thought it would be an adjustment problem. I did not think it was worth spending half a day to go to the dealership for something so easy to fix. After 9 months in Jan 2022, I went to get fuel pump replacement as per company recall. When I spoke to the service advisor, I came to know that there is a holding support that was broken. I saw it and realized that I had pointed this out to the Sales guy before purchase and he had told that it was of no consequence and that the car is thoroughly checked and certified. So now I am saddled with this problem. And this is pretty expensive to get rectified now. Important point to note that the work order of the dealer before delivery says light bulbs changed. So the dealership was very aware of the problem but wanted to push it under the carpet to the trusting buyer, in the process spoiling Toyota's reputation as well. So my suggestion: Buyer Beware. Take your used certified vehicle to another dealership, spend 250 bucks to get a full inspection done. At this dealership, Certified cars are NOT truly certified by the service guys. This is how my conversation went with your service advisor after he told me that the headlight is broken in January. Me: "But the car was certified." SA: "Certified yes, but we only check for safety requirements. And you had 30* days to come back if you noticed something was not right and we would have done what we can." *not sure if he said 30 or 36. Now this is what the problem is. The Sales guy label the car as certified when Service guys do only safety check, which by the way is mandatory for selling a car. So this CERTIFIED CAR is a sales speak to sell a car to an unsuspecting buyer. This is misleading, false and a blatant FRAUD. You guys are passing off damaged vehicles to Customers by making false and misleading statements - A FRAUD For me, it is a pathetic feeling GETTING DUPED! More
