The right sales person matters!! We went to SMP today to purchase a 2014 Equinox (we had it picked out and were expecting to be in and out very quickly). We had this expectation beca We went to SMP today to purchase a 2014 Equinox (we had it picked out and were expecting to be in and out very quickly). We had this expectation because Patrick Hataley told us on the phone that this would be exactly what happened... When we arrived at our scheduled appointment with Patrick he was too busy to deal with us so we waited and eventually discovered that the vehicle we were told would be ready to go was no longer available. We were more than ready to walk out the door and had it not been for the very friendly, welcoming, gentleman (Ben Roberts) I chatted with briefly while our daughter ran around growling while, we would have - that would have been a huge mistake! After expressing to one of the sales managers (Dan Hesje) that we would not deal with Patrick (I would discourage dealing with him even if it means waiting) Ben was quick to find us what we were looking for and was even ready to have a vehicle brought in from another dealership. Ben is wonderful to work with and happily works to get what you want. More importantly, he made us feel at ease, like we were visiting with an old friend. A BIG shout out to Mike Cantafio!! Mike is great to deal with, super knowledgeable and lots of fun! SMP is a fantastic place to buy and we have no intention of going anywhere else in the future. More
