Hi Martin – it is normal that shipping is additional when a vehicle is sold and is required to be shipped (the advertised price of the vehicle does not include shipping to different locations). In addition, we had worked with you to arrange the shipping of the car to a specific dealership – this never changed and was delivered to the correct dealership. When shipping a vehicle, it is not as simple as Purolator or FedEx when the parcel is shipped one day and delivered the next - delivering vehicles can be a challenging process at times, especially when winter conditions exist. We apologize that the correct engine cover was not sent with the car – we were happy to send the correct one when we were notified of the oversight. Thank you for your concerns.

We were able to diagnose your parent's vehicle when it was initially brought into our shop. As it was communicated, the old part that was required to repair the vehicle has been discontinued and is no longer available to purchase through GM (and is no longer recommended to be used). We were able to have General Motors manufacture a part on your behalf to repair your vehicle. We use Genuine GM Parts when repairing vehicles as they are covered by a 1-year Parts & Labour Warranty. A Part that is purchased online cannot be guaranteed to be the correct part and does not come with additional warranty - we use GM parts to ensure that the correct part is being used so that the safety and integrity of the vehicle remains intact. It is unfortunate that there was a long wait to receive this part, but as we mentioned earlier, GM had to manufacture the Part - this takes time. Our #1 Goal is to ensure that our customers have quality parts & good service. Unfortunately our hands were tied as we were waiting for the correct Part to be manufactured, but we stand by our decision to recommend using Genuine GM Parts on GM vehicle.
