We decided to head out and get my husband a new car today, we were "just going to look" but once we arrived Shane had us on a test drive in no time at We decided to head out and get my husband a new car today, we were "just going to look" but once we arrived Shane had us on a test drive in no time at all! They even let us go without a sales person, to lessen the pressure. Shane was friendly, helpful, knowledgable and wasn't pushy with us at all! He made the car buying experience quick, painless and easy. We got a great deal on a great brand new car. We then got to deal with Justin who was just as great. He was friendly, quick, and over all great to deal with. I would recommend these two, and the dealership in general to all my family and friends, and those looking to purchase. More

incompetence I first visited the dealership on October 24, 2015 and discovered that the Chevrolet, Silverado, 1500 doesn't come with trailer mirrors so the Salesma I first visited the dealership on October 24, 2015 and discovered that the Chevrolet, Silverado, 1500 doesn't come with trailer mirrors so the Salesman and I walked to the Parts counter to inquire if it is possible to remove the existing mirrors and replace them with trailer mirrors. The parts guy promised he would get back to me on Monday, the 26th ... I never heard from him. I attempted to reach the Salesman on the 26th and failed so I was left with the only option ... leave a message. Regrettably, his voice message mail box was full, so no message left. After a third attempt at contacting him I was successful so we arranged to view a truck he found that would fit my requirements and it was arranged on Wednesday, the 28th. My wife and I arrived to view the truck and unknown to the salesman the truck in question had received a lift kit, new rims and was running 35 inch rubber. This doesn't match our needs. So, the Salesman apologized but nonetheless he wasted our time too bring us down to the dealership and while he was searching the available inventory. After about a 45 minutes of watching him on the computer he admitted he had nothing in stock which we could look at. During this visit I checked to see if anyone had the details about installing the trailer mirrors on the 1500 and still no one had an answer for me, "I'll remind the Parts Guy, even on Saturday the 31st of October it's still a mystery if it's possible. Regardless, on the 28th I left with 3 build sheets for 3 different trucks to review. On, Thursday, I left a message that I would be dropping by on Friday to deal on ones of these trucks. He returned my call on Friday afternoon at about 1:30 pm informing he wasn't available until Saturday.He told me, he would call me back in ten minutes, he was going to check with his Sales Manager (Quentin) if he could deal with me. The Salesman called me back and let me know this wasn't an option. I discovered later that the reason this wasn't an option was that Quentin would have given the sale to someone else and my Salesman was too interested in the sale ($$$$) instead of providing good customer service. As it turned out, this free time I discovered was good because I visited Westgate Chev on Friday and met the great team at Westgate. However, I never closed a deal because Ron Hodgson is close to home and convenient, if truck ever needed service. I arrived at the dealership on the 31st with the intention to close a deal on one of the trucks which I had the build sheet on. With this in mind, we started the process to discover that the truck I wanted to deal on wasn't available as it was in Ontario. Once again, a truck I really liked wasn't available ... that's 2 trucks so far. So we searched for another truck that would meet my requirements. We did so, I pulled out my credit card to place the deposit to start the deal. After completing some of the paperwork and settling on a very fair price a little higher than I really wanted to pay but acceptable. The process was moving along and we were moving forward in good faith and then I asked if I could get a build sheet for the truck I bought. The Salesman printed it off and I discovered it wasn't exactly the same as it turns out it was missing the factory installed chrome running boards but it was the same MSRP. I inquired, why was the truck about a thousand dollars more? The new price reflected an increase by GMC i was told. Needless, to say I was very disappointed (This is the 3rd truck I thought would be ideal), all I could think about was did these guys just try to pull something over on me because that's why they didn't show me the build sheets sooner? I just didn't know, how could 2 professionals miss something this important, I'm sure they simply missed it. At this point I'm very disheartened with the entire process and then to make it worse they aren't interested in sharing the cost of the running boards at all Quentin basically tells me to walk, conveniently i was outside of the dealership when he shakes my hand and walks away. That was my experience at Ron Hodgson. Allan S. UPDATE I received the following email within minutes of submitting my posting on Nov. 1: "I have forwarded your concern to the General manager. It is not our intent to disappoint our customers. We will review with all associated staff. Hopefully we can still earn your business ? Thank you for reaching out to us. Regards, Allan Demers" Considering it is the 9th of Nov. and I've received no response since the one on Nov. 1, I could probably say a lot but I'll let their silence/inactivity speak for me. Allan S. UPDATE! December 12, 2015 I am happy to post, I bought a Chevy, Silverado 1500, Z71 Midnight Edition from Cory at Competition Chevrolet and was treated exceptionally well. If you want to be treated exceptional well go see Cory. It's well worth the trip. And, I will be updating my dealer rater posting recommending them. Allan More
