When it would no longer run, and was no longer worth the money to repair, a huge decision had to be made. Buy new - or used. Buy new (yet we could absolutely NOT afford a monthly payment) or buy used, and possibly take on someone else's problem - with no money to repair should it break down. The tears flowed for days as the sole responsibility of purchasing a vehicle depended on me. You see, my husband has MS and it is progressing quickly. Buy a car, a van, an SUV - can he get in and out of it, can we fit in his walker. My husband is a big man. As and AISH household, the limited income made the decision seem impossible. However, once we made the decision to go used, we decided to go through a dealership. That way we were confident the vehicle would have been properly inspected prior to our purchase. It was an automatic assumption that we would buy the same vehicle we had owned for 13 years- only newer. Off to our local Dodge dealership we went. To say the service was substandard would be a generous comment. We left there with a sour taste in our mouth and drove down the road to the next dealership. Ron Hodgeson. We spoke to a sales person in the used vehicle area. I was very specific. "THIS" is my max $. I want command start as I don't park in a garage - that wasn't an option. It HAD to be reliable - I don't have money to pay for repairs and I don't have money to buy an extra warranty, AND I don't have money to buy new. Dean was amazing. EVERY TIME I went there, I left in tears. Dean listened as I battled with making a decision to purchase what for some was so small, but for me felt like it was the biggest decision of my life. I had to make a decision about refinancing our mortgage to purchase a vehicle as we really could not afford another payment. I needed to be able to get my husband to his many Dr appointments. My husband needed to be able to get in and out of the vehicle with legs that don't work too well. As I walked from car to car so stressed, Dean was kind and patient. As I called over, and over, and over again, Dean was so patient. Every call was returned, every question was answered. And when finally the decision was made and the vehicle was purchased, I knew I had made the right choice. I am sure many sales people would have dodged my calls and lost their patience with me as I battled daily (for weeks) about handing over a cheque. But Dean's patience and understanding made me feel like I was important as a person - not just as a potential buyer. And that I had to be comfortable with my decision more than he needed to make a sale. Dean, and the Ron Hodgeson staff, THANK YOU! You by far gave us the best customer service I could have asked for. New Truck We came into the dealership on Saturday Dec.5 looking at buying a used truck and walked out by Tuesday with a new 2015 GMC Serria. This sometimes mig We came into the dealership on Saturday Dec.5 looking at buying a used truck and walked out by Tuesday with a new 2015 GMC Serria. This sometimes might be a negative however our salesman Nithin helped myself and especially my wife see that there was a new truck that fit our budget. He provided us with a caparison when asked between similar used trucks and new and ultimately sold us on the new vehicle. Nithin was professional and we never felt pressured into buying. Justin in finance was very helpful and got everything done quickly. We enjoyed not being pressured into any up sells. Again Justin was profession and courteous. Overall we enjoyed our experience with Ron Hodgson dealership. Everyone seemed to be happy working there, send lots of smiles. We will send who we can your way in the future.
