The service and warranty visits I have had at Richmond Hill Hyundai have been far superior to my previous experiences at the Newmarket Hyundai dealership which were, in my opinion, a complete travesty. The representatives at the Newmarket dealership were not helpful and on several occasions, extremely rude. The representative at Newmarket became extremely agitated with me because the oil used in the engine of my 2011 Genesis Coupe V6 was not synthetic, which is not requested by the manual or indicated by the printing on the top of the cap. The service representative practically yelled at me over this discrepancy which is generally not the way you should treat your customers. I would not return to that dealership based on the experiences I have had for any reason. My service representative at Richmond Hill Hyundai, Ricco, was attentive and cared about the problems I was having with my vehicle. The part required was not in stock at the time however he ordered it right away and assured me that he would call as soon as it became available. True to his word he phoned a few days later and offered to fit me in that same day. I was able to bring my car over right away and he offered to provide me with a dealership car if it was necessary for my schedule. I didn't require the vehicle loan but was extremely appreciative of the gesture. The service to my car was done quickly and I had my car back the next day. Overall, my experience at Richmond Hill Hyundai was an extremely positive one and I was particularly impressed with my service representative Ricco. I will definitely be returning to this dealership for all future warranty and repair work as the attentiveness of Ricco made all the difference to my visit. More
I have been dealing with Richmond Hill Hyundai service center since the purchase of my Santa Fa. I have dealt with Ricco Rodriguez for most of my service on my SUV. Ricco Rodriguez has been helpful and co center since the purchase of my Santa Fa. I have dealt with Ricco Rodriguez for most of my service on my SUV. Ricco Rodriguez has been helpful and courteous when I've been in for any work on my vehicle. From simple oil changes to repair work on my truck. I had an issue with my driver side door handle (the rubber had come out). Ricco Rodriguez informed me that the entire handle would have to be replaced. He ordered the part and set up a time with me to bring the truck in for repair. He had a vehicle for me to use while mine was in being repaired. When my truck was done Ricco Rodriguez personally came out with me to inspect the repair. Even when I have been in for a simple oil change, Ricco Rodriguez has come out to the waiting area to keep me informed of how long my wait will be and inform me of any issues I need to take care of. I've noticed that Ricco Rodriguez and the other service advisors all do this with the customers. Its a nice touch because they make you feel that you have not been forgotten and that your important to them. I would highly recommend Richmond Hill Hyundai service center to anyone owning a Hyundai, they always greet you with a smile and are helpful and friendly. More
I came in with my boyfriends car to have it serviced. Ricco was very attentive and quick. Ensured that I would be in and out within an hour and a half, with a courtesy car wash. True to his word. Sent Email to sales staff to watch for a USED 2013 Genesis Coupe with 3.8 litre and Manual Transmission in anything but white. Got a call from Louisa (sales rep) saying in 20 minutes a 2013 black 3.8 Genesis Coupe with 3.8 litre and Manual Transmission in anything but white. Got a call from Louisa (sales rep) saying in 20 minutes a 2013 black 3.8 with manual trans. was being traded in. Even put me on hold to confirm color as black with black interior and MANUAL transmission. When I asked the price I was told, under $34000, it had under 25,000 km, I was told to come to the dealership to work out the price and agreed to come to the dealership the next day although it was a considerable distance. The next day I drove 2.5 hours through very heavy Friday afternoon traffic with my 2 young sons and father to see the vehicle and test drive it. When I arrived I was was met by Louisa and Ting (Sales Manager) who told me the exterior color was black, interior color was tan and the guy who traded it in didn't want the AUTOMATIC transmission. When I advised him Louisa confirmed it was manual, he said "oh if you want manual I can order you a new car and take off the PDI and freight". I was obviously VERY upset as I now had a 2.5 hour drive home and wasted my entire afternoon and $50 of gas. I will never use this dealership again and feel the use of the vehicle was just a way of getting me in the dealership to try to sell me another vehicle. If I wanted to see a new car I would have gone to my local dealer. I would NEVER EVER recommend this dealership to anyone, EXCEPT TO MY WORST ENEMIES. NEVER AGAIN.... ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME. More
Absolutely terrible service! They just take advantage of people! My leased accent broke down. I took it to 2 mechanics and no one would even touch the car. I brought it to Hyundai. After a few days, their service manager confirmed there was issues with the engine that they looked at but he told me they couldn't guarantee how it would work and it could break down again. Talk about unsafe! but he was ready to give me the keys and put an unsafe car on the road. I had just a few months left on the lease so I did talk to a sales guy about getting a new car. There was no way I was driving out with a car that had serious engine issues. The sales guy convinced me to get a new lease. Within the lease I agreed to pay for the remaining term on my old lease but was assured that slight km overages and damage would be covered. Sign a new 5 year lease and a month and a half later I get a bill from the lease company for $4,000! Turns out Richmond Hill Hyundai never remitted the remaining amount for my old lease and they never covered the damages, as promised. The inspection also happened A MONTH after I returned the car. Who knows what happened during that month??? Contacted Hyundai Canada. They "tried to help" but "don't really deal with dealership issues" Although CLEARLY richmond hill hyundai is RIFE with problems (just look at the reviews here and on BBB). I'm fighting this bill! I won't be taken advantage of in this way! More
I purchased a used car at this dealership back in 2012. When i came to pick up the vehicle part was not replaced - this was explained to me that it needs to be ordered and it will take couple of days. I have called in a week, salesperson (Ali) said it is still not there and they need few more days. Called again in a week, he said they ordered wrong part and needs to be reordered. I gave them another 2-3 weeks. When I called back it turned out Ali is no longer with the dealership and did not inform anyone about that agreement. He was dishonest and was making up excuses, while nobody else knew about it in the dealership. I asked for help Sales Manager David Krovitz - he promised to find out and get back to me. That has never happened. I sent numerous emails, left voice mails. Today I called dealership again, just to find out David Krovitz is no longer with the dealership - surprise, surprise... I talked to another Manager, that informed me there is nothing they can do about it and basically brushed me off... I have wasted over 4 months trying to get that resolved and in the end I hear "THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO FOR YOU" This is beyond RIDICULOUS!!! I would like to add that cost of this part was about $30, minimal compared to the margin that dealership made on my purchase. It is not a matter of money, as cost is minimal, but PRINCIPAL rules of business. Verbal agreement is an agreement and dealership is responsible for it's employees doing. My advise is DO NOT DEAL WITH RICHMOND HILL HYUNDAI or if you chose to do that, please make sure you have absolutely everything done before you pay a penny or have it stated in writing. They are great at pushing you to spend money at their dealership, then DON'T CARE at all. They will remember your phone number up until the transaction, then they will be unable to contact you and hide their heads...SHAME! Be VERY, VERY CAREFUL while dealing with them so you don't have to go through what I did More
Went in for quick install (was told it would take an hr at most) of mud guards - could have done it myself but at the time didn't have access to my tools - after an hr+ of looking at my car sitting outside at most) of mud guards - could have done it myself but at the time didn't have access to my tools - after an hr+ of looking at my car sitting outside the service doors & watching other card either drive around mine of have others pulled around mine by service techs (yes I had an appointment) I finally went to ask when they were going to start on my car, since it had been an hr & it was a 20min job at the most. They finally took it in & quickly finished - the only reason the quality of work got a high star rating was because my 7yr old could have done this in the driveway. Next time any work of any kind needs to be done I'll go back to Newmarket or Aurora Hyundai. More
