He w Well I had been looking for a new suv for a few months and focusing my research on the Ford Edge. I walked in Richmond Hill Hyundai and met Brek. He was friendly, upbeat and knowledgeable. He showed me a 2014 Santa Fe Sport and I did fall in love with it. It was out of my price range so I kept looking around. Brek had stayed in touch so I went back to look at other Santa Fe Options. I ended up buying the 2014 Santa Fe that I had fallen in love with. All seemed to be going well. The dealership is responding to my offers and we finalized an offer. Problems started after all that. I was almost tricked into purchasing a $3995 extended warranty that they just felt like adding on hoping I wouldn't notice. They also lied and said I could get 2.98% financing if I financed through them instead of my bank. Turns out none of that was true. I had to argue and actually get very angry with management and it was a hassle. Finally come to pick up my car.. nothing was ready. I had been promised a full tank of gas, I was also promised they would buff out the scratches and rail emissions off the vehicle. None of that was done. Brek was away that day so I worked with Stan who was wonderful. He presented me the vehicle, got the gas and helped in any way he could. There was no time to buff out the spots since the service dept was closed so they gave me a rental for 2 days while they did the work. I had to get the GM involved with this whole process too. Dave was also wonderful and really just wanted us to be happy. I get my car back and all looks good. 2 weeks later, my brakes suddenly start squeaking. I had been asking for a copy of my safety report but no one seemed to "have it' ever. I gave the car a few days to see if the brakes would quiet down. Spoke to the dealership, they told me its moisture and not to come in. I was not happy about that. It was obviously NOT moisture. I park inside and it was 30 degrees out. Any moisture would have evaporated. Finally got annoyed so called Dave and I brought my car in the following week. The service manager tell us that it is "normal" for Santa Fe's brakes to squeak. This is a top recommended vehicle.. no way that they "normally" squeak. All BS just to keep us quiet. Turns out they had put cheap brake pads in the front end. They replaced them and did not charge us for the service. Lastly, no one had checked the tires before giving me the vehicle. PSI on the front tires were 18 and 20. The car is supposed to be at 34 PSI.. there's also a leak in the front passenger tire. I guess their service dept missed that when they were doing safety on the vehicle. Maybe that's why I STILL cant seem to get my hands on the safety report they have done. Now everything seems to be ok. I hope for the best in the future. You can tell this dealership wants their customers to be happy but they really need to get their stuff together. More
