Warranty follow-up We purchased our highlander almost 5 years ago. With the purchase we also purchased an interior/exterior warranty were our leather seats and paint wou We purchased our highlander almost 5 years ago. With the purchase we also purchased an interior/exterior warranty were our leather seats and paint would be cared for annually. To date, the only annual work has been inspections. We now show signs of rust in a few places, and we have had to pay to have the interior, including the leather seats cleaned and treated. I have found the warranty we paid a lot of money for a useless expense I would caution others to check more closely before purchasing. Having said this, I brought this to the attention of the service rep Charlotte, who looked at my file and confirmed only inspections had been carried out. She indicated next time I bring our vehicle in, she will arrange for the paint to be sealed. She said they could do nothing with the rust. More
