I regret to share a disappointing experience with Precision Hyundai, specifically with Mr. Jose Campos, the dealer responsible for my recent purchase of a KONA N Line 2024. My rating of one star stem Precision Hyundai, specifically with Mr. Jose Campos, the dealer responsible for my recent purchase of a KONA N Line 2024. My rating of one star stems from a significant issue that marred the entire transaction. In September, I communicated my intent to purchase a vehicle from Mr. Campos. However, upon receiving the car, I discovered the absence of essential Alberta Road Packages (Block heater, Lock nuts, Mud Guards). When I raised this concern during the payment, Mr. Campos initially assured me that these items were temporarily out of stock and would be added later. However, a few days later, when I inquired about the installation of the mud guards, he shockingly claimed that the Alberta Road packages were never part of our deal. Despite providing evidence of our agreement in our conversations, Mr. Campos insisted on following only what the bill listed. As a first-time car buyer, I placed my trust in Precision Hyundai and Mr. Campos to uphold our agreement. While I initially believed our deal should be based on our verbal conversations during the bargaining process, I now realize the importance of explicitly listing all items. It's disheartening that the dealer changed their stance after the payment, leaving me without the promised items. This abrupt shift in their position is both disconcerting and unjust. My advice to fellow customers is not to blindly trust verbal assurances from the dealer; insist on having all agreed-upon items explicitly listed in the bill of sale. Precision Hyundai's lack of transparency and honesty in this transaction, especially given their stature, is disappointing. More
UPDATE Took my car into a third party to get looked at, and surprise….it was the undercover that wasn’t re-attached adequately. The mechanic was shocked the dealership didn’t remove it, let alone fix their and surprise….it was the undercover that wasn’t re-attached adequately. The mechanic was shocked the dealership didn’t remove it, let alone fix their mistake by replacing it. An incredibly easy fix that the service manager refused to even acknowledge and instead blamed me. Would leave zero stars if possible. This is going to be a long one. I would like to preface it by saying it takes a lot for me to lose my composure and leave a poor review. As a small business owner myself, I am not in the business of trying to negatively impact anyone’s livelihood, but I would never even fathom treating any customer this way, especially one who has done ALL of her maintenance and service there since 2018. I anticipate I’ll get a reply to this review saying I was rude. And yes, I was rude. I was rude because it took 6 phone calls and 8 days to get any sort of meaningful communication from the service manager, Sean, and I was met with total hostility right off the bat. I brought my vehicle in for maintenance and tire swap in December. $550 later, the first time I drove it since having it serviced I noticed a dragging sound so I checked underneath and there was a piece of the undercarriage dragging. I racked my brain to remember driving over something, which I had not. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and thought it was just the undercover that had come loose which would be an honest mistake. My first phone call to them was on December 20 immediately after I noticed it. I phoned a total of 6 times to speak to the service manager, Sean. Even though his voicemail states he will return calls by the end of the business day, it took him 3 days to get back to me, the day before they were closed for the holidays. I called back on the 27, and spoke to him on the 28, when he informed me they’d be closed again until January 2. The next 2 times I called he wasn’t in but would be back later, so I asked that he call me back that day and they said yes they would have him call. I did not receive a call that day. ANYWAYS fast forward to today, January 8 and I take it in for them to look at. I have not driven my car since December 20, to decrease any further damage. He brings me back and says “there’s a crack in the bumper and there is no way we could have caused this.” He got into a yelling match with me (super professional) and I ask if there is security footage to make sure they hadn’t driven over something when it was being serviced, because I absolutely did not. I express my frustration, and yes I did become quite short with him. Unlike him, I can take accountability for my actions. I express my frustration regarding the lack of customer service about this and he yells back at me “so that proves we damaged it?” I say “no, but it’s extremely poor customer service.” Anyways I ask for my tires back and get out of there because I want nothing to do with this man. I could have pushed for a refund on my seasonal tire storage since they have only been in less than a month, but didn’t bother. If he had acted appropriately and wasn’t a complete jerk, I would have considered doing the repair there, but his demeanour is extremely unprofessional. Literally yelling at and condescending to customers. At one point he went so far as to get right in my face. I had to take a step back from him. Zero accountability for anything from him, he goes immediately to being defensive. I have been a manager before, and I would have probably been fired for speaking to and treating a loyal customer the way he did. COMPLETELY inappropriate behaviour. More
