Buyer beware I went into Precision Hyundai to get a price for a small part for my side mirror. Worst Service Ever Had to go into Percision Hyndaui because the muffler on my 2014 Tuscon was recalled, it only has about 50k on it. Mention that there is an annoying ra Had to go into Percision Hyndaui because the muffler on my 2014 Tuscon was recalled, it only has about 50k on it. Mention that there is an annoying rattling noise coming from the passenger side (apparently a super common issue according to online forums). First, I received an email for my appointement reminder but it stated that to investigate this rattle issue it was going to cost about $150.00. I thought this is odd, I’ve never had a Hyundai dealer do something like this in over a decade of owning them, especially since it is still under warranty. Second, I called about the potential charge and they said oh don’t worry about it, that’s only in extreme circumstances, like if “you go off roaring”. Mmmm sorry but no one is using a Tucson for off roading! I had a good laugh and thought this is good, this means it is covered by warranty. Third, I come in the next day, explain that I am still worried about the rattle issue but don’t want to pay for them just to investigate it, surely they can tell I keep my SUV is in great condition, I’ve been driving my children around in it since I bought it, nice and careful, no accidents, only 50k on it. The guy at the check in says it could be covered that they had issues with strut bolts and some sort of suspension thing but still can’t let me know if it is covered. Fourth, I asked to speak to the service manager, who told me this stuff was only covered for the 1st or up to 20,000km and that it would not be cover by warranty without looking at the car. So I have to waste my morning to go into Percision Hyundai to replace parts that they recalled and they can’t even tell me if the rattling is covered by warranty or not. Instead I get several different stories about why this may or may not be covered by warranty. You have my suv up on the lift replacing my muffler, check the suspension and struts on the back passenger side, it’s not rocket science! I have owned Hyundai’s for over 10 years and have never received such terrible service and such a lack of Percision. I even bought this one from Percision Hyundai! Next year I was going to upgrade to a Sante Fe but will now look elsewhere for my purchase, obviously. I am writing a letter to the head office of Hyundai Canada to express my concerns. More
