The company I work with has employee pricing 2.5% above dealer invoice with Kia, which provided me the incentive to take a look. Dealer quoted me at a good price and would give me 1300 for trade in. Told m dealer invoice with Kia, which provided me the incentive to take a look. Dealer quoted me at a good price and would give me 1300 for trade in. Told me that he needed to get his GM override because the system would not let him make the purchase because I was getting such a good deal, and told me no one in the country will be able to match it. Following the meeting I put a new starter in my trade in since it was starting to fall off, which cost me $300 parts and labour. General Manager Paul called me the following day and said that he could only give me $300 for the trade in, and did not care that I was out $300 because of the starter installation. He also told me that he was not able to go beyond $300 and said that "it was not his problem" that his sales staff told me I would get $1300 for my trade in. After constant argument he said he would compensate me for the starter installation. I then agreed upon the $300 trade in. When I said I wanted black colour he said that there were not any in the country or being made in Korea and would only give me the white car they had at the dealership. I ended the deal. Out of curiosity I went to another Kia dealer and asked what the stock was for a the black colour, and they told me that it would not be a problem and they would get it for me within 48 hours. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! They are pretty good at throwing numbers around and telling you that the deal you are getting is the best one possible, but once it is time to put pen to paper, there will be enough of a discrepancy to call the deal off! This dealership sold me a "luxury" Kia. I made the mistake of taking everyone at their word - I know it was stupid of me. I told Terry I my list of must haves 1)my budget 2)don't really care about the outside of the car but I wanted new technology touch screen, navigation, rear view camera (you know all the things that should come in a 2012 car 3) no leather seats.... well he said he could get me all those things in a car but I would have to accept leather seats (which i did) but that the luxury model was back ordered for months... it would be exactly the same with the exception of the push button start which I was fine with and they would update my car with a system coming straight from the factory. Again, even writing it down now I know how stupid I sound for agreeing to do this. Both Terry and his manager assured me it would not look aftermarket at all. Well my saga gets so much worse from never calling me back to having me drop off my car and it not being ready on time with no phone call so I drove over in traffic for the second time on a loaner with no gas in it. Then I finally get the car and it is an aftermarket disaster. It looks like something you could buy at future shop (on sale) and have a 17 year old install. Now they are saying they can get me a proper luxury car ... but want a ton of extra cash... I am at my wits end!!!! And the story still isn't finished.... If you have any questions... or are thinking hey they aren't so bad... drop me a note... my new email address is ihatemykia@gmail.com More
