I recently purchased my car from Pickering honda the staff service was excellent. I purchased my civic touring model at Pickering Honda - worst mistake I ever made. I was promised free winter tire storage if I purchased winter tires - they decided that was not possible once I had signed worst mistake I ever made. I was promised free winter tire storage if I purchased winter tires - they decided that was not possible once I had signed the contract. I asked for free mats but no go. Given that my son purchased his car the same day at the same time it seemed like a small “toss in”. To make matters worse my paperwork and my son’s were jumbled together and I had to sort it out with Honda Canada but my son still gets calls from the satellite folks about my car! To make matters worse, I also had a miserable and humiliating experience in the service department. My daughter just purchased a new CRV at Whitby Honda and was given the mats, terrific service and a choice of winter tires and storage. It was a great experience. She was astute enough to check out the service department as well and was delighted with the staff. I have never returned to Pickering Honda but given that both of my other children have since purchased Hondas elsewhere, I can say that the cars are amazing and all dealerships are not alike. More
Bought a vehicle from this dealership in June and it was a non stop headache with them. They sold me a faulty, unsafe car that had a worn out clutch. Not long after purchasing the car, while I was driving i a non stop headache with them. They sold me a faulty, unsafe car that had a worn out clutch. Not long after purchasing the car, while I was driving it, the clutch fully stuck to the ground and the car was not able to move, and I was stuck in the middle of an intersection not able to move, scared for my life that I was going to get nailed by a car . I then called a tow truck to tow the car to Pickering Honda for this clutch issue to be fixed. The clutch ended up getting replaced , but it was not installed properly , which caused my vehicle to shutter while driving in first gear. I immediately said to the service manager Greg Chisholm that something is not right with this clutch, a brand new clutch should not be shuttering in first gear. His reply was “oh it’s totally normal for a new clutch to shutter, their is a break in period on it so to drive it for a bit and it will go away. Also when Pickering Honda gave me back my car , their was a very loud clicking noise behind the dash. The service manager Greg Chisholm told me that the clicking is because the blend door actuator is broken , but Pickering Honda didn’t want to replace that for me. So not only did they give me back my car with a clutch that was not installed properly, but they also gave me back my car with a broken part that I later got fixed at a Ford dealership in which I had to pay $400 for. Anyways, I took Greg’s advise with the clutch shuttering and I drove the car everyday for a few weeks for this break in period to happen and I’ve been driving the car now for 2 months since and it is still shuttering like crazy in first gear. I also wanted to mention that every time I had to bring my car back in to Pickering Honda, the service department would never answer the phone, and they would never return my calls ever. Not only is the service manager Greg ignorant, unprofessional, and a liar , the General manager Atif also is, he’s just a scammer selling people defective, unsafe cars (atif was the one who sold me my car). Not one time did anyone at Pickering Honda say to me sorry for all the trouble I’ve had to go through with the car they sold me. I had to force them to pay me back for the tow truck. Can you imagine buying a car from a dealership, and then a couple weeks later the car just totally breaks down in the middle of the road where you almost get nailed by oncoming traffic and then have to pay $150 for a tow truck for the car to be taken back to the dealership. That’s exactly what I experienced, and Pickering Honda couldn’t give a xxxx about it, they didn’t care at all about my safety or anything. If I had of been driving on the 401 when my clutch fully stuck to the floor , I would of been hit by a car from behind and could of lost my life, and when I mentioned this scenario to Pickering Honda , they shrugged their shoulders and couldn’t have cared less. All they want is your money money money. The amount of amateurs working there is unbelievable, they are totally clueless about cars , unprofessional, ignorant, liars and they scam people for a living, I seriously can’t believe how they live with themselves knowing that that’s what they do for a living. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND not buying a vehicle from this dealership, especially if it’s used because you might have to go through the same horrible experience that I did. More
