Pembroke Honda

Actions say they only want your $$$ My Civic (still under comprehensive warranty) started making some grinding/squealing sounds so I took it in to Pembroke Honda. They claimed the brake My Civic (still under comprehensive warranty) started making some grinding/squealing sounds so I took it in to Pembroke Honda. They claimed the brake pads were metal on metal. I declined to have them replaced (brakes are the easiest thing for shops to scam you on) and checked myself when I got home. Had to take pictures of the almost new pads and send them to the service manager to get them to admit they "miscommunicated" and get the cost of their inspection refunded. Still no diagnosis on the sound. I had another mechanic replace the brake pads to be sure that wasn't the cause (and it wasn't) but now Pembroke Honda is claiming it is the new brake pads that are causing the problem because they aren't Honda pads. Anything to avoid warrantied work (has to come out of the customer's pocket to "pay the technicians for the work that they do" - So said the service manager). Do NOT recommend this shop, or any Honda product, especially warranties. More
