Buyer Beware : I bought a brand new Jeep Cherokee with a defective engine (oil leaking into the cylinders causing the engine to misfire and unable to drive). The vehicle had 140 km on the odometer when I bought it and it’s been in for repair 3 times for a total of 18 days - I’ve only had the Jeep a few weeks and it’s been in for repair half it’s life. I need a reliable vehicle for work and being without one for 3 weeks is detrimental to my business but what I’m most upset about is the fact that I paid full price for a NEW vehicle and what I got was a defective, unreliable automobile that needed a long list of repairs - that’s not a fair exchange. All I wanted was a full refund on the vehicle or a straight exchange on another Cherokee. The only offer they would make was a "trade in” towards another Jeep - That’s unacceptable because I paid $44,000 and they offered me a trade in value of $27,000…..$17,000.00 less! ….If they feel the vehicle is only worth $27,000 they they should reduce the price to $27,000. More
