Very helpful service department I typically do my own service and oil changes, or bring it to Kelowna Transmission and Auto Repair. Today was just to get the outstanding recall notic I typically do my own service and oil changes, or bring it to Kelowna Transmission and Auto Repair. Today was just to get the outstanding recall notices dealt with. After trying to book an appointment a few months ago, I was informed that the parts required would have to be ordered and I would be called. this did not happen within what I consider a reasonable time frame (2 months), so I called and sure enough, the parts had been in for some time and I had not been contacted. An appointment was made and I was book in only a few days later. When dropping the vehicle off, it was noticed that there were 3 outstanding recalls. It was recommended that I "bring my vehicle to a dealership more frequently to get these taken care of before they build up". Fair enough and point taken. I was whisked away to work and the car was completed in a timely fashion. Upon my return to Okanagan Dodge to pic up the car, I required a windshield washer nossle for my 2012 Ram pickup and inquired at the service department. I was astounded at the $41 price tag EACH for such a small part that I could get for $14 for a pair from ebay. Having winter upon us, I could not wait and ponied up for the part. It is reasons such as this that I will not bring my vehicle into a dealership regularly and instead take them to a trusted local mechanic when given the choice. The sad part, is that Kelowna Chrysler is even worse. After the over-the-counter xxxxxx at the service department, I limped over to pick up my vehicle. No pressure sales of "must repair" recommendations which was appreciated. the car was cleaned and parked in front waiting for me after a signed a few papers. The E-mail and call from Gary to inform me the vehicle was completed was excellent and appreciated being kept "in the loop" I understand that this was just a recall and i paid nothing. The work performed looked good, but even when at the service counter and being taken advantage of, it speaks badly for the whole dealership and I will not be purchasing a vehicle from this location. I have purchased 2 vehicles from Comox Valley Dodge and will surely be going back when the time comes. More
