My wife and I both took our Mach-E for the first service. The first time she went there was confusion on what had to be done and then finding out the tech to do the software update was on vacation. She made arrangements at work to be there at that time. The service desk was helpful only after seeing her frustration. She had to reschedule the appt a week later. The service desk also told her a courtesy car would be arranged at no charge since we had to come back. I took the car in the next time and i explained there was a courtesy car on file. He said for the small update it would take 30 min so courtesy cars are not given out for that short. I understand their job is to save money and not just hand courtesy cards out. The service department is trained to be profitable as well. Since I was told it was 30 min, I said I can wait. 2 hours later after I cancelled meetings at work, i received my car. They said there was a software bug while updating which I can understand does happen with software. The desk was nice enough to hand me 2 carwash vouchers. The guy was polite the whole time and apologetic - that is why i gave the 2 stars otherwise it would be 0 or 1. I know it is not his fault but 2 hours of cancelled calls and meetings is worth more than 2 car wash vouchers. He would have been better off, getting me the courtesy car and just having me come back 5-6 hours later. So far our experience with the service department has not been good, hoping it will improve in the future. More
