Definitely not the same experience this time My last visit so was smooth and I was treated so well that I didn’t hesitate to rebook. I booked way in advance and in doing so, indicated that I also needed a piece for my door handle. “No problem! That’s a 5 minute installation that we can do at the same time. I’ll transfer you to parts when we are finished booking.” I then spent more than 15 minutes on the phone with parts who also seemed to be efficient. I gave my vin #, part number etc. He was going to confirm color code against my vin. He confirmed my appt date and time and said everything would be ready. So I happily arrive for my waiting appt. I have never been treated so rudely or spoken to so curtly. I was completely taken aback. No part ready, no one “knew nothing about it”. Without a receipt or name there was nothing she could do. SHE did not transfer me. And this is not a waiting appt. no idea when it would be done. “We close at 5”. We suggest these things at this time so initial here that you don’t want them. (No explanation or price or discussion given.” When I asked what they would be doing today “whatever you were scheduled for”. And on and on. I couldn’t believe that every response or remark was so rude and dismissive, with much sighing. I had to call after a few hours to see if it was done because I didn’t hear from anyone. “Yes the paperwork is on my desk”. The parts issue was not dealt with. When I asked the checkout lady if the tires were rotated she said that all of it was supposed to have been gone over prior. The icing on the cake was the reset error code for the oil that I noticed while driving home, which is still there today. No problem, I’ll be able to have it dealt with when I get to go back for the part. I definitely will try to go to the previous lady who is still there and smiled nicely and even said good morning as she passed by. Or perhaps the nearby 7-11 lady who calls everyone sweetpea and wishes everyone a nice day could come by. They seem to understand customer service. In fairness I did receive a message about the part later that day. More
Always on time and quick I have been visiting this service shop for 5 years now for regular service and it has been always good. The service in this visit was really quick even if I had to leave my vehicle for a part replacement overnight as they were ordered the same day and coming from Edmonton. I asked to run 3 diagnosis unrelated, which added too much cost in just "diagnosis". I was expecting a discount for the quantity involved though; even if I asked, I couldn't get it. The service from Liane was very friendly and professional with follow ups on time! There was a factory recall from my vehicle related to a component on the airbags, which I was aware for a letter I recieved from Ford time ago. I was mentioned that the part was ordered and I will recieve a call once it gets to the Service Shop next week. That will basically go in my next review. Thanks to the whole Service team to take care of my vehicle. More
Diagnosis fee?!?! Great check in and vehicle drop off as it opens up early and is first come first serve to aid with issues that spring up out of now where. If you need to get a vehicle in for servicing this is very helpful. With that being said, they charge $180/ item just to diagnose an issue or problem. If you mention two or three problems, even if they are connected they charge you $180 for diagnosis of each issue plus time to repair. I do not have any issue with paying for technician time to fix an item but repairing the problem is in addition to this Diagnosis charge. So if your lights quit (Fuse) and you take it in without checking it yourself its going to be $180 +0.5-1hr (Or $3-$400) to fix one fuse! Not sure on the legality of this, or how it works with vehicle that are still under warranty as my truck is now off of! In addition, my heater fan quit on a day when it was cold out and I had meetings to attend so i dropped off my truck to get repaired will at work. Talking to one of the other guys on the shuttle and googling the issue while in the office it appears to be a COMMON problem that only takes 2 screws to fix yet (Heater Fan Module) when I discussed with the dealer they alluded that there was no common issue and still had to bill full rates + the $180 diagnosis fee or $190/screw + parts!! Friendly people, convenient locations in the NW, only worried about revenue for the dealership! More

She realized the importance of having a thorough inspection of the drive train before the warranty expired and recommended the detailed inspection package. My experience at North Star is always excellent, my expectations are almost always exceeded. We have the pre-paid maintenance package, even when non-covered work is required I believe that the pricing is fair. More
Top Notch Service Again I have nothing but positive things to say regarding my latest dealings with the service at Northstar Ford. As always I had the pleasure of de Again I have nothing but positive things to say regarding my latest dealings with the service at Northstar Ford. As always I had the pleasure of dealing with Fiona. She knew I was coming as my truck had been in the week before for diagnosis. She greets you with a genuine smile as always and efficiently had me checked in and my truck off for servicing. This service was a bit different as the truck had a recall issue, a weird sound coming from my tire area as well as a work order to have my sync system replaced as it has multiple issues. Fiona had pre- planned out everything after the diagnosis the week prior and was on the ball with her staff as to what bays and when and where the truck had to be. She constantly makes the experience so seamless for the customer and makes you feel %100 confident that everything will be done properly and as quickly as possible. Fiona told me it might be a 2 day Job, but knowing my out of town work schedule, as she always does- she along with her fantastic technicians had the truck ready by end of day. I continue to be blown away by the friendly, professional and efficient service I always get from the Northstar service department. Top Notch visit again and a big thanks to the whole Service gang! In & out I had a couple of bulbs out on my 2016 F150. It’s a little more work than pulling a bulb & replacing it.
