More repairs after simple repairs and poor customer service Took my Ford Escape in for a check engine light and tire pressure sensor light that comes on periodically. Was told we needed a tune up and we also di Took my Ford Escape in for a check engine light and tire pressure sensor light that comes on periodically. Was told we needed a tune up and we also did a detailing as we were selling the vehicle to our son. $1800 later and a few days later the instrument cluster stopped working. We were told this had to be replaced and another $736 later it was done. We did not even leave the dealership and the remote car starter did not work. It had worked that morning to start the car. Another trip back to North Star Ford and we were told the control module for the remote car started was not working and they refused to fix this unless we wanted to pay for it. Rob Meade the service director took no reponsibility for any of these obvious repairs and the fact that all this happened after the work was done. Unfortunately none of this can be proved but it seems rather strange that a simple repair has caused all the other problems. We no longer have a remote car starter and very costly repairs. I would like to add that we had just purchased a 2017 Ford Edge from this dealership. More
Check up for Ford Escape 70,000 km check. Service ok. I bought the vehicle here. They checked vehicle history. Waited 30 minutes to check in vehicle. Very busy morning, which 70,000 km check. Service ok. I bought the vehicle here. They checked vehicle history. Waited 30 minutes to check in vehicle. Very busy morning, which is understandable. However, I also waited 30 min. for shuttle. Did not know that the shuttle was going to be that late. Could have walked to train station, and was late for work because of the delays. Walked back to the dealership at the end of the day from the train. Will not make that mistake again. The train station is very close to the dealership. (about a 5 min. walk). They should inform customers how long they will have to wait for the shuttle. At the end of the day, they did not call to say vehicle was ready.When I called I left two messages and Brittany did not call me back. I spoke to her after the third try. They also told me that my steering gear and both front axle seals were leaking and had to be replaced next time, at a cost of $1900. This is something that I will not get done here, and should be a recall, as I had a maintenance agreement for 5 years and nothing was noticed during that time. Nothing is leaking that I can see. More

The Works package extra charge I took my 2017 Escape (that I purchased at Northstar) for the "Works" package. I have separate summer and winter tires on their own rims. The "Works" I took my 2017 Escape (that I purchased at Northstar) for the "Works" package. I have separate summer and winter tires on their own rims. The "Works" package includes tire rotation. They wanted to charge $25 to switch out the tires even though they are on their own rims. They said it takes a lot more time and work to take tires out of vehicle and plastic bag so there is an extra charge. For many years, I've had the "Works" package done at other Ford dealerships and never had an additional charge for switching out tires that are on their own rims. It may seem to be a small thing but is the type of thing which will send me elsewhere for service and for purchasing my next new vehicle. More
