The sales staff take great trouble to understand one's needs and relate those needs to one's budget. Until I started dealing with Northland, I used to dislike the whole process of buying cars, both here and in the UK. Dealing with the sales staff at Northland is a pleasure - there's no sales pushiness and the whole approach of the staff is patient, realistic and thoroughly professional. Because of my positive experiences with Northland, I have recommended them to a number of friends. Anyone who wants a VW should go there as a first port of call. More

Excellent experience with a small repair job I brought my car in on Tuesday to Northland Volkswagen to replace the GTI emblem on my front grill, the "T" had gone missing at some point. I was ext I brought my car in on Tuesday to Northland Volkswagen to replace the GTI emblem on my front grill, the "T" had gone missing at some point. I was extremely impressed by the Customer Service received and wanted to write some feedback to that Service would not go unnoticed. Upon turning in to the Dealership, Matt DaSilva was in another vehicle pulling out of the Dealership and yelled out the window "Hey Derek! I'll be right back." I was impressed how someone who sold me a vehicle almost 3 years ago recognized my vehicle and called to me by name. I parked and went to the Parts counter to ask for the GTI Emblem that was ordered in for me, and was notified that the part itself was about $50.00. I mentioned that it previously sounded like the part would be covered by warranty, at which point the Parts Staff and several members of the Service Staff were advocating for me that the missing "T" should be covered. I was told to go into the Service Shop where I believe I spoke with Ivan about the situation, he came back into Service and after a short discussion amongst Staff, it was decided that the Emblem would be covered, at which point I was able to drive my car right in, and Ivan went and got an available mechanic (Frankie?) to come complete the job right there. While I waited we all talked about Mountain Biking and Dogs of which I had both in my car with me, within 5 minutes I was on my way. Both Ivan and Frankie came and shook my hand at the end of the service thanking me for coming in. I was extremely impressed, and headed back into the Service Office to thank both the Service Staff and Parts Staff for the excellent treatment I had received. I then sat down with Matt DaSilva for 10 minutes to catch up on life and talk about the upcoming GTI and Golf R models coming out. I don't expect to get everything for free but I am very grateful and thankful for both the support and service I received bringing my car in on Tuesday. The professionalism is always there, but the personal touch was especially present that day! My Lease is up for renewal in June, and this experience only further solidified that I will return to Northland for my next car. Thank you to the whole team for making it a great experience for me.
