Nothing but kudos all round It would be tough to imagine a better-run outfit than Northland's. Monday Sept. 24, 10 am to noon) starting with the person on desk in display room, a really friendly woman who made a special trip to get regular (unflavoured) coffee cream ..the well-organized, professional fellow who seemed to be running the downtown shuttle that morning (tall-ish, greying hair) who could not have been kinder to all of the people waiting (a super-busy morning!)--to the service agent who looked after me, to finally, as I was leaving the incredibly helpful person whose name I did get (Frank ...last name Italian?) who came out and got the whole console/audio etc system sorted out, working again--and explained. More

No parts for recall appointment Booked Touareg in for two recall services. Emissions and ad-blue recall. Northland booked my car in but didn’t have parts for the TDI emissions recall. I can understand this for an undetermined problem but not for a defined issue such as a recall where parts and time are well defined. Took one and a half days for the recall they had parts for. When we asked if we would be called when parts arrived we were told it would be best if we called back in two or three weeks. Have had issues before with wrong parts being ordered where we took car in to show problem, came back when parts were supposed to in,wrong parts ordered, had to come back again. More

Battery check and other service appointments I meant to write a review after my previous appointment to say how much I was impressed by Dustin's handling things, but had to travel and missed the I meant to write a review after my previous appointment to say how much I was impressed by Dustin's handling things, but had to travel and missed the opportunity to rate my experience. I had a rather dubious experience at this Service department once a couple of years ago, but since then it has been truly excellent. With the two recent appointments (oil change and inspection, and investigating some battery concerns this week—both with Dustin Therens), I was treated just as I expect to be: with respect and attention, and honesty. The timing belt was inspected and not replaced because its condition is fine, despite the average life span predictions), the battery was checked and not replaced because the charge is fine. I do not feel any proverbial pressure to have things pushed on me. The shuttle service and drivers are as punctual and courteous as they should be and everything works smoothly and professionally. I did wonder whether I should continue taking my car there for service at some point especially because I am post warranty for several years now, but with every highly positive experience such as the ones I am relating here I am more convinced that this is the place I trust and want to deal with. As a separate note, for eight years after I bought my car from Guy Trahan, I feel comfortable calling him up and asking for advice in critical situations. Speaks for itself. More
