We were willing to give Northland Kia another chance but after today we will not be returning. We had an appointment to have our tires changed and were told that they had requested our tires from the st after today we will not be returning. We had an appointment to have our tires changed and were told that they had requested our tires from the storage, upon arrival they were not there, as a result we had made a trip for no reason. The appointment was rescheduled for for a few days later, upon arrival the made us aware that there was a 2 hr + wait, before they could begin the tire swap. Due to the inconvenience we were offered free storage, a tire swap, and “red carpet service”. Which included picking up our vehicle and returning after the tire swap. After this issue we did submit an online complaint to the Kia Northland website detailing our experience and receive no reply or acknowledgement of this. We also requested a call back from management of this location and have also received no reply or acknowledgement. The vehicle was supposed to be picked up at 8:30 this morning. After 8:45 no one had shown up, so we made multiple attempts to contact Northland. Finally we got through, and were told they did not have staff to pick up our vehicle, and that if we drove it down they could complete the tire swap. This was not the first time we had an issue at Northland Kia, last year we brought our car in for an oil change and tire swap, they had someone who was training and serviced our car. This person washed the interior of the car with the wrong product and left it oily, they did offer us a detail at no charge. Our issue the whole way along has been communication. Each time there has been an issue we have either had to contact Northland ourselves, after a promise has been broken, or driven to your location only to be told once we get there a promise has been broken. Even though we have been offered compensation along the way, that is only as good as actually getting the compensation. We do realize that at this time everyone may be dealing with less staff than normal, and understand that it may effect service times etc. Again our issue is that we have had 0% communication, and have now wasted 3 days. At this point it is easier and will be less of a hassle to take our vehicle elsewhere for this, and future services. More
Stay away!!! Buyer beware! They sell used vehicles that have been in an accident without disclosing to you. Letters that stated $7500 credit towards new vehicle or top dollar for the vehicle we have as the have been in an accident without disclosing to you. They tried to sell me a sorento for $500/bw for 96 months that's $104,000 and tellerude for $638/bw for 96 months that's $131,040!!! No rebates no 0% financing no winter tires... Beware this dealer is a total rip off!!! More
DO NOT BUY FROM HERE !!!!!!! Sold me a truck with a spare key that had active restrictions on it. WILL NOT COVER THE COST OF A MASTER KEY . , Promised me a bed liner for my truck when I purchased it , and th key that had active restrictions on it. I dropped my truck off at the service department last Monday morning after I was told they would figure out the key issue for me and get me the bedliner , they had the truck until WEDNESDAY EVENING , and called me to tell me " SORRY FOR THE DELAY , WE CANT DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. This place is the worst . I even called ford myself and priced out the new key at 429.03 and told them this is the price.. Because i was told the day i picked up the truck from kia ( last wednesday ) to call Ford and then call kia back and they would do something for me, just to talk to the sales manager and here how he " didnt make enough money on the sale " to be able to do anything for me. So he wasted even MORE of my time after having my truck for 3 days which didnt move from where I parked it ( it snowed Monday night , and on Wednesday night there was snow still on the top of the tires lol ) . Totally unprofessional, classless high pressure sales with zero service. Not only that they were not flexible on their pricing, they also were unfair on my trade-in. In addition very ignorant about the existing body damage and even more so when more issues surfaced within the first week of delivery. I was practically called a lier and shown the door. The salesman was decent but had no say whatsoever, it was all dictated by the manager who is a real high pressure sneak. Also the financing leaves a lot to wish for. Documents and signatures were missed. After rushing me in to get it finalized the vehicle wasn't even ready for delivery. I had to wait an hour before being able to drive off. After all was said and done they were even too cheap to put a full tank of gas in. I was warned but I really wanted the car so they had me by the xxxxx and afterwords offered not even a single word of apology for all the screw ups and emotional stress they caused. A very bad establishment, be sharp and aware if you absolutely must deal with them. More

I was visiting Calgary on the weekend and found a couple of replacements online at Northland Kia. I reached out to the dealer and Daren Eade contacted me immediately. When I arrived from Red Deer he had the vehicles ready for me to drive. I purchased a 2019 Veloster from Daren within hours. I picked it up cleaned and ready the next day. He explained everything I needed to know and took the time to ensure I was satisfied when I left the dealership. Daren Eade and the team at Northland Kia exceeded my expectations on service and professionalism. I highly recommend both if you are looking for a car. Chuck Laderoute Red Deer More

Service did not meet expectations I bought my 2014 Kia Sorrento from Village Honda dealership while it was under warranty under Kia back in March 2017. In August 2017 my air con I bought my 2014 Kia Sorrento from Village Honda dealership while it was under warranty under Kia back in March 2017. In August 2017 my air conditioner stopped working while under warranty. I got in with Kia who fixed the A/C. It gave out again when I tried using it May 2019 (no longer under warranty) so basically it lasted 1 season (summer 2018). Not only that but my sunroof stopped closing and when my call didn’t get returned from Kia I took it to the honda dealership I bought it from. They had to scrape some film the manufacturer used on the sunroof that wasn’t the right material. They billed me labour and said if the problems occurs again they would have to remove the entire sunroof and scrape the material off and use the proper one. It started working until Spring of 2019 the first time I opened the sunroof since the summer. It wouldn’t close. After days I was able to close it and have not tried to open again. When I got the report back from Honda I called Kia to try to make an appointment. Left several VM and several messages with their receptionist. My calls never ever got returned. In the meantime, I was given a call from Ryan Fodchuk or Shawn Fennell (letter in the mail also) in March 2019 letting me know they are under new management and are interested in buying back my vehicle etc etc. I brought to his attention no one from their service department was getting back to me. He said he would follow up. No call back but he continued to call me showing interest in buying back my truck. When my A/C gave out in May 2019, I tried calling them again and left a message after hours with their receptionist, who ensured me she would pass on the message. I waited the next day then called and left a voicemail once again. No call returned. I called again and demanded to get connected with a human and finally I talked to the service manager Rob. He repeated the number I gave him from my voicemail and he supposedly called the wrong number back and apologized. When I asked him if he got the message from reception from the evening before he said no. I mentioned how I tried to call numerous times over months for various issues and never got a call back. He said they experienced phone issues in the past and supposedly resolved them. I told him my AC worked for 1 season since it was fixed and he said the vehicle is no longer under warranty so I have to pay for the inspection and service. He would not budge. When I mentioned some issues I had honda take a look at he said to me how do you expect me to service your AC when you take your vehicle elsewhere and not here? I told him how the heck am I supposed to bring in my vehicle when you don’t return my calls!? The service has been not helpful and horrendous and I can’t believe my AC gave out and my sunroof doesn’t work. Never will I ever buy a Kia or deal with this dealership again. I do have to say Marina was a pleasure to work with as she helped us out when I first took my Kia in. Too bad she is no longer there. More

Excellent customer service I had a great experience when it came to finding a vehicle with Kia. Matt was one of the associates who really did give us his all. Run Far, Run Fast! I purchased a Jeep August 10, 2018 on the condition that items noted on the Mechanical Fitness Assessment were looked after by Northland’s service dep I purchased a Jeep August 10, 2018 on the condition that items noted on the Mechanical Fitness Assessment were looked after by Northland’s service department. One condition was to put on new tires as the ones on it were tread-bare and one leaked. They kept making excuses and then some fool named Chad called me at home to say that “it’s a 4x4 – you don’t need tread”. Really? I beg to differ with you Chad, you obviously don’t know anything about vehicles or tires. The Service department ordered wrong parts, but hey, what’s another week to wait. Vehicle goes in to have rear brakes done, but when returned, brakes are not done. Fast forward to September, work is still not done so I submitted a complaint to AMVIC. Once AMVIC was involved, Northland was eager to get the complaint closed and arranged to do the work. When I eventually got my vehicle back, I believed they had done the work, and I signed off on the complaint. They were to do the back brakes and check/reset the ebrake. Shortly after the ebrake started to malfunction again, so I took it to my own mechanic who indicated that the ebrake components were completely seized, requiring replacement of the ebrake shoes and levers. He said that since Northland replaced the pads and rotors, there is no way they didn’t see what was happening with the ebrake shoes and levers. Also on the MFA it was indicated that there were a couple of ‘sweats’ and Northland assured me these were nothing to be concerned with. My mechanic indicated that the problem was much bigger than a couple of ‘sweats’ – the oil filter housing was leaking at the seals. He said that any ‘professional’ mechanic would have seen the housing reservoir overflowing – and the oil was running down the back of the motor directly onto the exhaust, a definite fire hazard. He suggested that Northland knew of the problem, but didn’t want to put the money in to fix it, so they passed it off on the MFA as a couple of ‘sweats’. I paid $1,244 to have these issues fixed properly, by a qualified mechanic. I contacted Northland and was told they are not willing to do anything further for me. I contacted the BBB and Northland has chosen not to respond to them. Based on my entire Northland experience, I rate them zero stars – not because they are a service department nightmare, not because the salesman forged my signature on the Carproof Report and ‘forgot’ to do the registration, not because I had to struggle with them for almost 2 months to do the work they were accountable for; but because they are untrustworthy. They are the epitome of a shady dealership and they will lie to your face. All they want is your money. After they have your money, they don’t give a rats xxx about you or the vehicle they sold you. More
