Staff were thorough and friendly I made an appointment and soon as I got there I was guided in to the service area. Soon as I got off I was meet by the service staff and she explained I made an appointment and soon as I got there I was guided in to the service area. Soon as I got off I was meet by the service staff and she explained and asked if I wanted to wait or I could be taken by shuttle and they would pick me up but I preferred to wait in waiting area. Another staff offered if I needed anything, coffee but I had already taken a bottled water. She offered that if I needed anything else and that she would come back and check on me should I need anything else. Very exceptional to be looked after like they did. I really appreciated and service staff explained further requirements for my vehicle with a quote on how much it would cost. Service was fast as I didn't have to wait too long and I was on my way. She further explained other services that would be required if I would consider it, with also a quote. Thank you very much for the expedient service and friendly staff. More
Created more problems than they fixed My car unfortunately went into Murray Chevrolet in Lethbridge a number of different occasions. The first few times it went in service it seemed to be My car unfortunately went into Murray Chevrolet in Lethbridge a number of different occasions. The first few times it went in service it seemed to be done rather promptly, efficiently, and with very friendly representatives, not to mention most of it was covered under warranty. However, things changed the last few times I took my vehicle in as I feel majority of the work done caused more issues than it came in with. My 2011 vehicle went in during July of 2016 to get an oil leak checked out. My car always had regular oil changes, inspections, etc. so a significant leak was very questionable and wanted to get to the bottom of it. Turns out it was leaking from multiple different areas including the oilpan, camshaft covers, many different O-rings, and the list went on. Unfortunately now because my warranty had just run out, some of it was covered, some of it was not. It ended up costing me around $900-$1000 which is a crippling amount for a University student like myself. When I picked up my vehicle and started it up, I noticed a very distinct grinding noise that was not there when I dropped the vehicle off. Before I left the lot I asked for a mechanic to come out and verify that I was not in fact hearing phantom noises. He came out, sat in the car and confirmed that he also noticed the odd noise. After a quick (20 second) look under the hood he shrugged and said, "Just drive, it will fix itself". I was flabbergasted at this response and left very angry and concerned for my car's well-being. A few minutes down the road my engine light came on and I called the dealership who tried explaining to me it was most likely just "vapor lock" and nothing to worry about. Very suspect over the phone diagnostics. Not even four months later I noticed a significant oil leak under my car yet again. I did not drive the vehicle and the next day there was a large coolant leak under the car as well (different area, different colour). Unfortunately I had moved to a different town 50km away and when I called the dealership they told me to bring it in to them and not the dealership in my new town. When I responded that I did not trust driving the vehicle that far on a highway with oil AND coolant leaks they scoffed at me and said to take it in to my new town's dealership. I made arrangements at the different dealership and they were nothing but friendly and accommodating. When they inspected the vehicle the FIRST question they asked was "who did the previous work on this vehicle?" since it looked like it was very shottily done in their opinion. When i explained to them what had happened they told me to call the other dealership and verify what they did so they could try and figure out exactly what was going on. I called back Murray Chevrolet and was told there was nothing I could do unless I brought it in to them, which I replied again, I am not driving my vehicle that far in this state; it would simply cause more problems for the vehicle. When I asked what kind of service warranties they offered, they were very slow to tell me that all service should be covered for a year - so why did my care only last 4 months? I was told that I would have to speak to the service manager and get him to look over the file before the other dealership could do any work on it. When I still had not heard back from the service manager in four days I called back and was told word for word "you most likely aren't a priority since it is the end of the month". What customer wants to hear that??? After numerous days of waiting (and missing out on work/pay due to no vehicle) I finally heard back and was told that only a very very small portion of the problems would be covered even though in my opinion the leaks from the engine would cause it to overheat, thus causing the coolant problems as well. I personally found this a mediocre compromise as it ended up costing me another $600 to get my vehicle fixed from problems that were not corrected the first time. A lot of repairs for a vehicle that isn't even five years old - no reliablity in the vehicle or the service received. As a recent graduate from University this amount of repairs and financial blows in such a short of time has crippled my bank account and Christmas will not be coming to myself or my family now. I was thoroughly disappointed not only with the lack of correct repairs done but the downright lack of concern/avoidance of the issue from everyone involved. "You are not a priority" is a sentence that should never be heard by anyone and disgusted me to say the least. I will NEVER take my vehicle, or any other to Murray Chevrolet in Lethbridge ever again. My experience was extremely disappointing and in addition, if I did not have to spend so much on repairs in the last two years, I was sincerely looking at trading in and upgrading for a truck. More
