Mercedes-Benz South Calgary - Formerly Lone Star Mercedes-Benz

I recently purchased a SLK 350 from a used car lot in Calgary and took it to the South Calgary Mercedes Dealership for a scheduled service. The vehicle had approx. 27,000 km on it and had recently undergone an oil change and inspection at the dealership where I purchased it, but I wanted to begin my relationship with MB and also have the service done by qualified Mercedes staff. I reviewed MB Canada website prior to attending the dealership to understand the details of the service and was extremely displeased to find out that they are the only dealer in Calgary that does not follow your recommended service description and, in fact, charged me an additional $350.00 for replacing the cabin filter. I called them and asked if they had made a mistake, and they told me they will make no concession and don't really care what it may state; they do not cover the cost of the filter replacement. I had hoped to continue with the dealership for future service and perhaps purchases, but have decided to travel to Country Hills for all future dealings. I have brought this to the attention of MB Canada, as this is a serious breach of corporate policy, and I hope they will discuss this with them so that future customers are not treated in the same manner. I will also be posting a Yelp and Google review to let others know of the company's unwillingness to follow stated MB advertizing/documentated service promises. More

I appreciate the efforts of my service advisor, Angus Ma, who stood out with excellent communication and kept me updated throughout the process. Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing with their Assistant Service Manager. I was unfairly accused of damaging a rim (rock chip) on a loaner vehicle damage that I believe was caused by normal road debris. Despite my explanation and apologize, I was told that I will no longer be provided with loaner vehicles, and a note was placed on my file. This feels like unfair treatment and not how a loyal customer should be handled. The incomplete repair and unfair handling of the loaner situation left me no choice but to take my business elsewhere. Lonesstar is the same snake waiting to bite when they got a chances. I brougjt 3 mercedes from them the third one they shown their snake like crocs. We recently purchased a car, the treatment was not welcoming, they would not let us test drive the car, we had to place a 5K deposit, the only person that was informative was Tylor the sales person, t welcoming, they would not let us test drive the car, we had to place a 5K deposit, the only person that was informative was Tylor the sales person, the first finance man was not friendly at all he did not care if we bought the car or not, told us they would call us to come pick up the car, no phone call, I cannot why a prestige place like Mercedes could not make you feel more welcomed, since we were purchasing our first Mercedes ever, I would never recommend this place to no one. At least Toyota and Honda treat you like your some one. If it was not for my son wanting a Mercedes I would neve have gone to this place. Waste of time. They have no respect for customers and are very unprofessional. Don’t waste your time with them if you are residing in other provinces. They don’t know anything about the sale and transportation regulations and are not coordinated with each other. After several hours of spending time with their salesperson and sending and receiving hundreds of email and text, their boss broke the deal as he did not have any idea how to send the purchased vehicle to the customer and receive their trade. They don’t have any relationship with other Mercedes dealers in Canada and are limited to do business in their neighbourhood only. Sorry for trusting them from the onset. I had a nice experience with Carter Cadillac in Calgary before and thought they will provide the same smooth selling services. They are a joke! Spend your money somewhere else who respects their customers and time. More
