Hello, Paula. In regards to your comments, you mention that you drove the vehicle for five months and 5,000 kilometres since you purchased it. You fail to mention that in the time you have owned the vehicle, Carproof shows both a collision claim and a vandalism claim. Along with this, we found receipts that were left in the vehicle in your name for audio equipment and a sub woofer in the back cargo area; none of which where present when we sold the vehicle. The original deck was also left under the drivers seat. In other words, someone has attempted to, or has at some point, installed aftermarket audio equipment in this vehicle since we sold it. Certainly any attempt to alter wiring could cause a fire or wiring issues and could damage the wiring systems in a vehicle if done improperly. The vehicle was provided to you in good working order with a valid safety and, as you said, has traveled successfully for 5 months or 5,000 kms. The vehicle was also sold and accepted by you as an ‘As Is’ sale, yet we still offered to take the vehicle back in exchange for another vehicle but even that was deemed as an unsatisfactory solution. In light of the findings and that the vehicle had in fact been tampered with since it was sold we informed you we would be unable to do anything further. We feel strongly as a dealer that we did what we could to assist and believe the criticism and use of social media to attempt to get us to repair the vehicle is unfair both to our reputation and to the process of a fair resolution to the matter. We would still be willing to work with you to find a solution to repairing the vehicle, but will have to be done at your own cost. Please let us know if you would like to move forward with any repairs.

Actually I did mentioned the vandalism claim in my post and that mpi had done an investigation and concluded that there was no vandalism, the no start condition was because of a bad job done to the wiring harness by previous owners. I also mentioned you guys alleging that I installed subwoofers and caused this damage myself, even though none of the audio equipment had ever been installed, they were sitting in my trunk unattached to anything and they came out of my previous car. I also did mentioned the “exchange” you guys offered me which was a terrible offer, why would I want to buy another used vehicle from your dealership in the 8000$ range, you weren’t even going to discount the amount I paid for my Jeep. The only thing I “failed to mention” is that I had an accident which isn’t relevant because it was on the opposite side then the wiring harness and it was on the bumper, it was repaired and the Jeep ran after. I don’t want anything from your dealership. I’m getting this Jeep repaired through other mechanics. The purpose of my posts are for others to read about the vehicle I bought from you guys and use their best judgment before buying their own.
