Extremely poor customer service. In short, I brought my vehicle in to have my ball joints fixed, under my warranty. In order to access them, they had to remove my control arms, which were very rusted out. Rather than call me and warn me that my control arms were too rusty to remove (as they had unsuccessfully attempted to remove them with heat and lubricant so they were aware that they were going to have to break them), they decided to break one off and then called me asking permission to break the other one off, as my truck is up on the hoist and undriveable until they do so. They basically held my truck hostage until I gave my permission and then proceeded to bill me for their mess up. They charged me for the replacement of both control arms. I went in for a $150 (deductible) repair and was handed a bill for over $2,200. I expected to pay for the second control arm, and said that we should half the bill, they did not agree. They didn't call me and warn me about the rusty control arms and if they had, I would have asked them to hold off on the ball joints so I could save to replace the control arms first, as the ball joints weren't even an urgent matter. Chris Thimer dealt with this situation very poorly and didn't see how they could have done anything differently. I emailed the General Manager, Lorne Ross, twice regarding the situation and never heard back. Jessica Smith, however, is lovely to deal with and had excellent customer service. Her hands were tied in the situation. She was very empathetic yet professional. More
Friendly bunch, and that Rob dude is kinda loud The dealership is friendly and upbeat, I was surprised when I went in on Friday evening to drop off my car for service just how jovial the group was. I was expecting down turned mouths and sad lifeless puppy dog eyes. I could not have been more wrong. Great group, great atmosphere. I have always had good reliable service When I book to get my car serviced, I always get quick responses ,friendly people when I arrive. People who are knowledgeable and helpful if any ques When I book to get my car serviced, I always get quick responses ,friendly people when I arrive. People who are knowledgeable and helpful if any questions or concerns come up and I need to call and ask. When my Tubes broke on my sun roof and flooded my car I was ankle deep in water. I was devastated that my "baby" was going to be smelly and moldy, but the people at the service station really went all out and dried her out for me. Yes it did cost me a lot of money but in the end was worth it as I know that the crew looked after my car. More

They then towed me to the Chilliwack location, where I was told that the floor mats and driving style cause the clutch to go after 19,000 km. VW Canada was no help whatsoever as they simply side with whatever the dealership says. After paying $1500 to fix, it still didn’t fell right but I just wanted to get my car home, it had been almost 2 weeks. But it still did not work properly, I tried to take it to any other dealer as Chilliwack had made me did not fix my car properly. No other dealership would look at it so I reluctantly took to Maple ridge. The first person to test drive it said it was fine, and then I took them for a ride and completely agreed there was something wrong and they didn’t look far enough the first time but I could not leave the car. Then the manager phoned to tell me it wasn’t an actual mechanic that looked at my car it was just an apprentice. He then explains that not many manual transmissions are sold anymore, asked if this was my first standard? and told me to try a few things, and I informed him I did not trust the car and was not driving it. They then kept it for 4 weeks trying to fix it, they then insulted me by offering me an "upgrade" to a new automatic, as everyone that I talked to through the entire process told me that I simply did not know how to drive standard. I have been driving standard for 12 years and have never killed clutch before this. I cut my losses and sold them my car as it still was not fixed and I would not have trusted the car in the end. This has been a terrible experience and I will make sure that I tell everyone about it. More
