The new Tiguan has landed! From Kelsey's warm greeting and her introduction to the amazing David Procknow, we managed to narrow down our needs to a new, top of the line Tiguan. The initial research was done by several phone calls and was made on a very busy Saturday. If David was with a customer, Adam Walker was quick to pick up and both went so far as to search for colours and trim levels we were interested in, even in other provinces. David and Adam sent many photos to us electronically and were prepared to stay late that evening for us. We arranged to meet Sunday morning instead. Upon arrival they had the Tiguan we were possibly buying parked out front for us even though it had not even be prepared for delivery as of yet (as we had been told). They had as well as an identical vehicle sitting right next to it to test-drive. David first made us knowledgeable of the product as Volkswagen has changed over the years, and then got us into one and out on the road in less than a cup of coffee. Previously we had had a bad experience at Abbotsford VW, as we had spent 2 hours and 4 minutes in filling out paperwork, surveys, financials, drivers licence checks and on and on... and never even sat in a vehicle, any vehicle, let alone the Tiguan we were looking for. Yes...seriously. After finally being shown a new vehicle model we hadn't even asked about and had yet been invited to sit in something, we finally said that we were now late for an event in Vancouver and we just had to leave. I mention this only to show you the hill that David Procknow and his team had to climb to win us over. David was extremely knowledgeable about all the models and answered our questions and if he wasn't fully sure about something, he quickly said so and went to confirm his information. The trust was building. Full marks here. A bit of back and forth and very soon we had a deal. I thank both David and Adam for that. We were then off to meet with Ben Si, who went over everything to ensure that our decisions were knowledgeable. Within the first few minutes with Ben, he had found a few ways to save us some money and put everything in order that was even better than we had planned. Again, our highest rating. The paper work was straightforward, clear and concise. The insurance staff was ready and waiting for us and we were done. All along the way we were always asked if our questions were being answered and was there anything else that they could do for us so that we could make an informed decision. I would be remiss if I did not revisit Kelsey Ellison's part in all of this. She answered the phone in a welcoming manner, sought to answer my questions and concerns professionally and identified just what I was looking for in a sales representative. She set the tone for the whole experience. Her title should be Director of First Impressions. All along the way were treated well and our confidence was won fair and square. But lets be clear. David Procknow did the heavy lifting and came through with five stars. David was amazing in his work and it would seem that he has a pretty good team behind him.
