Satisfied Lorentz was the guy who approached us when we arrived at the dealership. He was friendly and helfpful. Although we didint end up getting the car tha Lorentz was the guy who approached us when we arrived at the dealership. He was friendly and helfpful. Although we didint end up getting the car that we wanted (2016 Tiguan highline with R line Package because there was none in BC), we got our alternative choice which was still satisfactory. From test driving to finalizing the deal, we had a great experience dealing with Lorentz and Chris. Scott was also very helpful in describing our payments and other stuff. He got our paperwork done in less than 30 mins I will definately recommand them to my friends who are interested in getting vw cars. Thanks More

Their sales team worked with us to make that happen. Very helpful and knowledgeable employees. The only negative was a new system ICBC implemented which caused delays with the transfer and re-purchase of the vehicles. Overall we would give the experience a 4.5. Thank you to Rob, Lorentz, and Ben!! More

He left our other car at the dealership while he took the Veloster overnight (for an extended road test) so I would have a chance to try it out. The next day we returned and purchased the car from Jaz and Chris who apparently gave us an amazing deal. (I'm hoping they did because that's the only consolation we have after the hassle we've endured.) We were excited to drive the Veloster and the following day was our anniversary so they said they ozonate it over night, "which would totally get rid of the smoke smell" and detail it. We said we'd be back in the morning. We went outside to find the vehicle we'd left overnight had been damaged - a strange scrape about 3" x 4" on the driver's door. Nobody mentioned anything about it so we brought it to their attention. They'd buff it out they said, which they did, so we agreed, but no apology or explanation was ever given. The next day we arrived at noon to find the Veloster was still being detailed. Service felt slow and superficial and the car still smelled like smoke and was kind of clean inside, but it hardly received a proper detail. It turned out we had to take the Veloster home with demo plates because the person they'd taken the car from on trade-in had an existing ICBC claim that needed to be sorted out and we were unable, therefore, to transfer our insurance to the Veloster. Apparently, they were having trouble contacting/communicating with the previous owner. Not sure why the claim wasn't sorted out before they took the trade-in. The damage, part of the ICBC claim, consisted of some minor dents and scratches on the front and rear fenders. The dealership agreed to get that repaired along with the scuffed-up rims, as well as complete the 150-point inspection that was not done before and then a free tank of gas was thrown in at some point for the hassle as part of the sales agreement. Had the car not had such low milage and unique features that fit exactly what we were looking for (manual, matte grey paint) we probably would have walked away but I REALLY liked the car. At one point my husband told me he called them and said he wanted his downpayment back because he just wasn't feeling right about the way the transaction was going down but was told he could not get that $5000 back. They promised to make it right. SIXTEEN DAYS (they had it for 15 of those) after we bought the car it was returned to us with the repair to the fenders and rims completed to a high standard. The repair, done by both their shop and Craftsman Collision (because of the ICBC claim) looked really good, but it took way longer than it should have and everyone passed the buck in the meantime and we were told, "It'll be ready tomorrow." about 10 times. Frustratingly, the 150-point inspection was not done and the car was not washed, properly detailed (footprints on the backseats???) or filled up with gas. There were too many interactions over the 3 weeks to detail, but the result was we felt mislead, frustrated, helpless and taken advantage of. The only positive interactions we had where we felt we were being treated fairly and truthfully was with Ben Li and Scott Rainone in finance who showed exceptional competence and service. In the end, Rob was very apologetic and delivered on the inspection, oil-change, wash, detail and ozonating. It ended up taking TWENTY-THREE DAYS, after signing the sales agreement, for Maple Ridge Volkswagen to deliver what they promised. I believe that poor communication between sales people and management as well as between the sales people and service department caused the majority of our headaches, but most certainly the communication from the aforementioned parties to the customer could use a lot of work. IMHO, honesty and integrity also go a long way. Lip service and evading questions that you don't have answers for are not the way to instil confidence and only serve to create distrust and confusion. I hope Maple Ridge VW hears this advice for the sake of its future customers. More
