He made our experience ordering a new vehicle such a pleasure and so stress free. Will is very knowledgeable and listened to everything we wanted in our vehicle. More importantly he listened to what we could afford, and along with his sales manager, worked with us to make a deal. We highly recommend going to Kia West Edmonton as you will be treated with nothing but respect and you will walk away feeling fantastic about your purchase. We can't wait to get the call saying our new Telluride is in! More
We came into Kia on March 9, 2022 excited to look at the new Sorento. Fortunately for us the salesperson, Will, wasn't interested in making a sale that day. From the very beginning we were made to feel unco new Sorento. Fortunately for us the salesperson, Will, wasn't interested in making a sale that day. From the very beginning we were made to feel uncomfortable. He never introduced himself to us, nor did he ever ask our names. He was very curt, and didn't even ask us to have a seat at his desk while he asked a few questions and typed on his keypad, so we had to awkwardly stand there. We are still not sure if he thought we were homeless or that we just couldn't afford a new vehicle, but after a quick test drive, unbeknownst to us, he had already dismissed us. So after several more uncomfortable moments back at his desk, watching him play on his phone, and dismissing any questions we had, we left and went to Ericksen Nissan where we were made to feel welcome. The sales team at Ericksen's showed us a few options and we ended up purchasing a new Rouge SV premium that same afternoon. Had we have had a different salesperson at the time, we may have ended up with a new Kia, and not realized how bad the service was until it was too late. So the moral to the story here is --Just because its a sellers market right now for new vehicles, doesn't mean you have to spend your money where they don't appreciate the people who are spending it. For reference, we are a couple in our late 50's More
I usually have a good experience with this dealership but this time they really missed the mark. I had taken my car for an alignment and was shown that the fault was with some worn out bushings. Since I have this time they really missed the mark. I had taken my car for an alignment and was shown that the fault was with some worn out bushings. Since I have extended warranty I took it to West Ed Kia and asked for it to be fixed. I was told I needed to pay an "inspection fee" as well as the deductible for warranty work. I did, and as expected they agreed the bushings were shot and would replace them. They never returned that inspection fee though. Every Kia dealer I asked stated the fee is only applicable when there is not a warrantable issue. I had an issue covered by warranty, I brought an independent diagnosis along with pictures of the issue. " Inspection" was done for them and they still felt it necessary to gouge me. Any other dealer in Edmonton does not have this outrageous and purely frivolous fee. If you need warranty service I very strongly suggest you avoid Paul and his service departments blatant cash grab. UPDATE: I finally had a chance to speak with Ryan, he informed me that Paul has the final say in everything service. I mentioned I would be contacting AMVIC next, he laughed, said "knock yourself out" and hung up. As a former AMVIC inspector, I am happy to put that ball in motion for you Ryan. Arrogance can be very costly... More
In August 2021 I ordered a car - Kia Telluride SX 2022. Early last week the car arrived at the dealer - Kia West Edmond. I made an appointment for delivery today February 10th. The dealer had almost 2022. Early last week the car arrived at the dealer - Kia West Edmond. I made an appointment for delivery today February 10th. The dealer had almost 10 days to prepare the car. Today I came from Calgary to Edmonton to pick up my 2022 Kia Telluride SX from the East Edmonton Kia dealer. When inspecting the car, I found 3 significant defects: 1 - a large deep scratch on the rear bumper, 2 - A dent in the roof near the sunroof. 3 - Damage to the front bumper when installing a block hitter. See photo. I informed the general sales manager Goran Spataru. My car was sent to the service area for inspection. While the inspection was going on, I signed a contract and asked that the above damages be included in the sale bill. The financial manager of Edgar Arturo Acevedo Becerril included this in the contract. I signed all the documents and the loan agreement - the car was bought on credit. Also in the process, I offered several options on how we can solve the problems that have arisen. But as it turned out and as I understood from the conversation, the dealership employees missed the moment of accepting the car from the manufacturer and the transport company and did not indicate damage 1 and 2. Also, when general sales manager Goran Spataru found out that financial manager of Edgar Arturo Acevedo Becerril had included damage in the sale bill, they began to demand that I return my copy and remove this information, since they do not want to be financially responsible. general sales manager Goran Spataru pre-arranged a rear bumper repair (1 is a large, deep scratch on the rear bumper) today, right now at the dealership. But when I refused to change an already signed sale bill, they said there would be no repair until I handed over and signed a new bill without stating the damage. Further, when I said that I will not return my copy and will not change documents general sales manager Goran Spataru and financial manager of Edgar Arturo Acevedo Becerril , they began to put pressure on me and threaten, WHAT !!!!! they will not send the documents to the bank and in a couple of days they will write a statement to the police that I stole a car. I had to call the police myself and open a claim that the dealership employees were threatening me and trying to make a fraud. After my call, general sales manager Goran Spataru offered me $150 damages compensation, which is very little. He said - take it or leave and no one will repair your car. Thus, the car was delivered to me with damage that the dealership employees refuse to fix, even though it is included in the bill of sale. Also, general sales manager Goran Spataru and financial manager of Edgar Arturo Acevedo Becerril tried to threaten me, to put pressure on me to give up my claims and change the documents More
Horrible Experience. Trusted them and the brand. After Horrible Experience. Trusted them and the brand. After waiting for one month, finally I got an appointment from Canadian Tire on 8th January 2022. B Horrible Experience. Trusted them and the brand. After waiting for one month, finally I got an appointment from Canadian Tire on 8th January 2022. But when I went there, they told me that they need tire lock key to change all season to winter tire and then I searched my vehicle but tire key was not there. So, I straight away went to my dealer ship from where I bought my kia. Over there I first talked to service department about the key as well as about appointment(as my car didn’t start). They told me that I should talk to the person who sold me this car. So I went to sales department and asked the receptionist that I want to talk with sales manager ‘Ryan’ from Kia West Edmonton, Edmonton, Alberta. I explained my problem to Mr. Ryan and he replied “Thats not possible. I have 10 years working here. Yes we have done mistakes like this in past years but I trust my parts team that they inspected the car before giving it to you.”. I mentioned that I wasn’t aware by anyone that this car comes with wheel lock and wheel lock key. While giving the car on October 19,2021, they handed over me the car’s manual, two car keys and paint Markup Sketch pen. In addition to that Jim (Great guy) showed me an extra tire in the hood along with jack. But he never mentioned about the tire lock key. Mr. Ryan told me that why you only have two log nuts for the tire instead of four. When I asked him could you please provide me a solution to resolve this so that I will not miss my appointment. He reverted that we can break your tire locks and you can purchase a new one from us. I mentioned “its a brand new car, and you want to break something “ he replied “yes and than you can pay for a new lock which would be around $200”. I trusted Kia brand as i already have kia earlier, but the way Mr Ryan gave me a solution, breaking and spending money, is ridiculous. He also mentioned about the two log nuts which i showed him which i found at that very moment with him. He blamed me that i might have lost the key (of which I wasn’t aware or seen) or should look at home(which i still doesn’t know how it looks like. I also mentioned to check the chain of command of all the documents came with this car and forward it me so that we can see what actually came with car. Its almost three weeks jan 21, still no response. I still have no solution, i still have no key. I am paying for my car whose wheels are locked and the key is either with dealership or kia canada. This is one of the horrible experience from multiple like finance manager, Sales manager with zero tolerance, car didn’t start even though its plug in, looking for an argument, blaming loyal ‘Kia’ customers, accepting they made mistakes in past and are perfect with zero human error. While reading the recent reviews one thing is for sure that this dealership is shady and doing mistakes. The mistakes are not in past but in recent present. And mistakes they did is not poorly planned but well executed in taking customers money not by financing but with certain missing items. From sales manager to finance manager they just try to charge you extra and if you argue, parts go missing. I finalize deal at $220, finance manager asked me to sign at $232 saying its a bank fees. When we said we don't want a deal and need our deposit back, he refused as you are going away from deal we are not going to give you the deposit. I told “we agree on $220 not at $232, give me at $220 or else give me in writing that what we said why we are backing off, what deal you agree on and what deal you’re giving.” Suddenly attitude changed and without even any delay he agreed. This is just a fraction of what happened.i made a mistake going there. If you go there, make your mind of getting cheated or unnecessary arguments with sales manager or the others. Think twice before making a deal. More
Went into the dealership to look at a new Sorento that was advertised at $49,345. I was told they refuse to sell the vehicle without a protection package and winter tire and rim package which brought the was advertised at $49,345. I was told they refuse to sell the vehicle without a protection package and winter tire and rim package which brought the purchase price of the vehicle over $62,000 which did not work into my budget so the sales manager, Goran and I discussed a factory order on the vehicle and asked me to put a deposit of $1000 so they can order it. I asked if the deposit was refundable so I could continue to look for one in stock at another dealership to which I was told it is however I did not notice it wasn't put in writing. Today I found a better deal, went to the dealership for a refund and I was refused by Goran, he said "you can call AMVIC or a Lawyer about your refund." This was very unprofessional on his behalf and I now have to jump through hoops with AMVIC and my credit card company to get my refund with no guarantee I will actually get it back. After this experience I would not recommend anyone purchasing a vehicle from KIA West and I will be contacting KIA and BBB about this dispute in hopes that it is corrected and that no one else has to go through the same experiences I did. *Update* I am now being refused my rights to cancel a factory order within 48 hours of the deposit, while also accepting that I will be forfeiting my deposit on the vehicle. **final update** After Kia Canada intervention I was finally able to get confirmation of my factory order being canceled, dealership still refusing to refund my deposit with no light at the end of that tunnel. Would not recommend anyone to this dealership after this experience I had with them. More
Paul is not a good service manager not prioritizing the one who needs more a car loaner. I have kids to drop off to school and a husband to his worl. I enquired about a Telluride and the price listed was not the price that they were selling the vehicle for. The price was 10 grand over MSRP. Also the sales person was very arrogant and called me a liar whe the price that they were selling the vehicle for. The price was 10 grand over MSRP. Also the sales person was very arrogant and called me a liar when comparing his dealerships price of the vehicle to another dealerships price. If you get stuck with Wil from Texas then I suggest you ask for somebody else. Do not recommend this place at all. Unfortunate for Kia since they made a great vehicle but this dealership has put a sour taste in my mouth. More
