I have had great experiences with KIA West Edmonton. I made an offer of purchase on a used vehicle, then the next day decided to purchase new instead. The KIA team rapidly accommodated the change, includi made an offer of purchase on a used vehicle, then the next day decided to purchase new instead. The KIA team rapidly accommodated the change, including getting the currently arranged financing for the first offer changed to the new vehicle purchase within the same day. I have had great service on my vehicle and am always treated with courtesy and respect. My salesperson Tarah is outstanding and she always has a few minutes for me when I stop in for an oil change. The West Edmonton KIA team is great!! Barbara Waters More
Great energy coming into Dealership when buying my new Kia Sportage. Sales woman didnt no anything abut the car, but she doest work there no more "thank God" im thinking cause of my bad review once id bou Kia Sportage. Sales woman didnt no anything abut the car, but she doest work there no more "thank God" im thinking cause of my bad review once id bought the suv. But you maybe good luck with other sales people! Keeping the customer happy, they do best! Watch there work, if you sign for say 0 down and promise to get ur money back for holding the car, be sure to get it. I had that issue, they put the 500$ theyd promised onto my loan. I had to contact Amvac to see what i had to do, months later id called dealership and HR lady insteantly gave my money back. there promotions are great, if they actauly fallow them, like id said watch them, there like sneeky id say just to keep you happy. Im still humm and haa abut using there service department, just cause the way my buying was, and the dealership way out of the way from where i live too. There finance department was not so good, took a week to get my loan which is crazy, and they went threw many vehicles durning that week before they finally put me into top of the line Sportage. good luck with youre buying at the west end kia More
Pre-purchased a "premium synthetic" oil package. When I went to get the oil change and inquired what brand of oil would be used, I was told I would be getting standard motor oil with an add package. When I went to get the oil change and inquired what brand of oil would be used, I was told I would be getting standard motor oil with an additive (what kind of additive, he didn't know) and that it was "as good as synthetic" this way. The manager, who he phoned but wouldn't come out face to face, insisted that this was what they used as a 'synthetic' oil, and went as far as to say that this additive magically turns motor into synthetic. Since snake oil is far from synthetic, I refused the service. Couldn't get my money back either. What really concerns me is that if I hadn't asked - they would have gleefully filled my car with this stuff and sent me on my way none the wiser - I can only guess how many customers they have done this to. Be cautious when buying a new vehicle and extremely cautious when buying a used vehicle from West End Kia for as long as the owner (Larry Ricci) owns the dealership. While doing my vehicle compariso cautious when buying a used vehicle from West End Kia for as long as the owner (Larry Ricci) owns the dealership. While doing my vehicle comparison before deciding on what to buy I came across a home that had a 4ft X 8ft sign screwed onto their fence that read "Don't Buy From West End Kia". Since I was looking at buying the Kia Sportage from West End Kia I decided to knock on that person’s door and investigate the meaning behind their sign. It turned out that they had purchased a used vehicle from West End Kia along with an extended warranty paying over $2,000.00. When a major front end issue arose. Expecting the warranty to cover the repairs they soon discovered that their warranty was mysteriously cancelled. The short of it is! They, unfortunately, were currently exercising their legal position to find a resolve to their problem. Thinking that this issue would not affect me for I was buying a new vehicle and not a used vehicle. I continued with my road test arrangement already setup with West End Kia. I didn’t even make it out of the dealership. Here’s where my experience begins. It was Sat Mar.12/2011 when I entered West Edmonton Kia to pick up the 2011 Sportage for a weekend test drive. After settling the $1,000.00 deposit and them getting a copy of my driver’s license there was nothing else to do but wait for the Sportage to be ready. While waiting with my salesman a loud mouth arrogant (SOB) individual approached us and started blabbing off to my salesman. Surprised we both were, my salesman apologized for that experience after the guy left. When the Sportage was ready I asked the group of salesman, one being that loud mouth from before, where on their lot should I park my car for I was leaving it on their lot overnight. One individual told me where I could leave it but before I could turn around that arrogant loud mouth asked me for the keys to my car and he would have it moved. Not feeling comfortable with this individual I stated that I would not be leaving the keys to my car (I never had with any other dealership) and that I just needed to put the car in a safe place for the night. He continued to express his thoughts /demands and I concluded that if he was stuck in his position that I would “walk” out the door shutting down all future prospects with this dealership. He told me then to “WALK”. As I turned to have my deposit refunded back to my credit card I heard this guy say to the others that, and I quote. ”I don’t need customers like that around here”. After hearing that comment, I asked the receptionist for that individual’s business card and left. My intent was to file a complaint with the owner regarding his behavior. Well as it turned out. This individual was in fact the owner. His business card read “Larry Ricci - Dealer Principle”. So complaining to him would be futile. I can only conclude that I am lucky that he acted as he did. Had I not had this experience? I would most likely have purchased that Sportage from this dealership and at some point in the future I would have had to deal with this individual. I am certain that it would not have been pleasant. I have spoken to a few people who had purchased from this dealership along with some employees, both current and past. I am incredibly thankful that I did not purchase a vehicle from here. I did in fact purchase another vehicle from another auto maker later that day. Have your own experience; I hope them to be pleasant. Ask to meet the owner (Larry Ricci) and I’m sure that with just one look at him. Well do I need to say it? Nobody likes to be told “I told you so”. Mr & Mrs Stothard More
