Great Purchasing Experience at KIA Vancouver My wife and I set out to buy a 2015-6 KIA Sorento after discussing our budget and what elements of a vehicle were the most important to us. WE search My wife and I set out to buy a 2015-6 KIA Sorento after discussing our budget and what elements of a vehicle were the most important to us. WE searched a number of dealers , researched carefully the pricing of vehicles and created a check list of our needs . WE came upon KIA Vancouver and met salesperson Mike Vargas and Sales Manager Alex. WE identified the vehicle a 2015 Sorento that met most of our needs and took it out for a test drive .W e indicated to both Mike and Alex that we wanted to go home and discuss the vehicle in the privacy of our home . WE promised to inform quickly what decision we came to . Both Alex and Mike were quite respectful of that. WE did follow up shortly with an expression of interest and chose to discuss the business of purchasing over the phone as opposed to direct face to face. This might not have been the preferred manner of discussing transactions of this type , but my wife and I were firm on this approach. WE reached an agreement on a price that met our budget criteria. WE returned with a check and felt that we made an excellent transaction and obtained the vehicle that we wanted that checked all of the boxes.. The key to this experience was the style and approach of both Mike and Alex. We were very honest and what experience we were looking for. They met those expectations and set the table for the deal. Simply they understood customer nuances, were respectful of what we wanted in a deal; and, created a conversation that was positive, businesslike and comfortable. We understand that dealers are in business to be profitable and that they must distinguish themselves in a special way from the others. These two gentlemen at KIA Vancouver did so with distinction, trust; and impressed us that customers and their relationship with them in the short and long term were important and fundamental to good business. From this experience I would highly recommend the KIA Vancouver team of Alex and Mike Vargas to any seeking a meaningful and transparent experience in their future car purchasing experience.
