I have coupons from when I bought my vehicle that say for the life of my vehicle I can have an oil change for around $30.00. I show up and show my coupon to the fellow at the desk... "No longer valid sir"..." We no longer accept Oil Change coupons from Ken Evans Dealership." Stunned and amazed!!! The last time I went there no one told me that my coupons would no longer be accepted (they honoured it last change no problem). I get calls from Jordan the sales guy a couple of times over the past few months wanting me to trade in and upgrade my vehicle... do they think to tell me that my coupons are no longer valid? No. Now this is not the first time that these folks have let me down... It started about the third time I went in for an oil change.... They'd moved from their original place of business and didn't say a word to me... I let them know that I went to the old place to get an oil change... there wasn't a note saying we've moved to such and such a place in town... I had to track them down.... I get into the dealership finally and mention this to a staff member and they don't even apologize... I track down the service manager at that time and she tries turning the tables on me basically saying it's my own fault for not calling in the first place... no apology. So today i traveled 35 minutes there and 35 minutes back to my place... no oil change... no satisfaction... no apology... Definitely not impressed, never was, and never will be. Really a shame because I was treated well by the Ken Evans team. I definitely do not recommend this Ford Dealership. And you know I will never be back. More

Regular service check and multiple-point inspection Darren was very thorough and friendly! He was paying attention when I gave him specific instructions regarding my very well cared for F150 Lariat. I Darren was very thorough and friendly! He was paying attention when I gave him specific instructions regarding my very well cared for F150 Lariat. I dropped off my truck at 11:00 as previously arranged and I picked it up at 16:30. My wife thought it took too long but I'd rather get it done right by the dealer... I only go twice a year for this vehicle that I only use for recreation and RVing. I have extended warranty and peace of mind and excellent service are worth a lot for me. I don't believe in short-cuts and cheaper solutions... More

Customer Service Second visit to Island Ford and again EXCELLENT customer service and quality of workmanship. Well worth the easy drive from Victoria ~ made a fun day Second visit to Island Ford and again EXCELLENT customer service and quality of workmanship. Well worth the easy drive from Victoria ~ made a fun day with visiting one of their many wineries. Not only did I get the recommended service of oil change, tire rotation etc however they went the extra mile and washed and vacuumed my car! If that isn't excellent customer service. Absolutely NEVER happened in Victoria. Highly recommend Island Ford ~ More
Rescued in a time of need On a Sunday afternoon my Mom, son and I were heading up Island for a week of camping. My van was filled to roof with camping stuff and, believe it o On a Sunday afternoon my Mom, son and I were heading up Island for a week of camping. My van was filled to roof with camping stuff and, believe it or not, a DQ ice cream cake with dry ice to keep it cold. Driving from Victoria, by the time we got to Duncan my van was struggling and misfiring. We stopped at a couple places that had no mechanic on duty and they were not that willing to help. We stopped at Ford in a last ditch effort to figure something out. Best decision ever! Kyle and Dan swooped in and saved the day. They took a quick look at my van and suggested we not drive any further. Within 20 minutes they had helped us unload what we needed and gave us a loaner vehicle to get back home in while we wait to see what was happening with my van. The next day we ended up renting a van to continue with our trip as my van would not be ready that day. When we started to unload my van and load the rental, Kyle and Dan were back helping us. As a single mother, having your vehicle break down is very upsetting. The pending costs and the stress of it happening on our way on a trip was almost overwhelming. But with such helpful people so willing to do what they can, they made the whole thing so much better. They even tried to help us find new dry ice for the cake! A week later we returned to pick up my van ($450 repair) and Dan was back helping us unload and load the vans. This was by far the best experience and service I have ever received. I will be back for sure! As we were leaving Duncan, the issues that were happening before, started again. They did not fix the van. There was no going back though as the dealership had closed. We made it to Victoria, but it was a very stressful drive and we barely made it. I called Chad, the service manager, the next day to tell him how upset I was. I felt that nobody listened to me when I said what was wrong and they fixed something I was sure was not the issue. Turns out I was right about what was wrong and had to spend another $500 to actually fix it. Chad was very apologetic and made me feel like he understood my frustration. He worked something out with me and I feel like I have been heard. As much as I am feeling frustrated by the situation, I would go back. You just can't beat the customer service at this place. Their willingness and eagerness to go above and beyond is amazing. This has been a very stressful experience, but the people have made it so much better. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate everything everybody has done for me. I will be back!! Thanks again guys!!! More
Not impressed so far Have just moved to the area from Revelstoke BC, where Jacobson Ford have been looking after my F350 truck since I bought it in 2005. They serviced it Have just moved to the area from Revelstoke BC, where Jacobson Ford have been looking after my F350 truck since I bought it in 2005. They serviced it in April this year just before we moved here and it has been running beautifully. Have just returned from a trip to California and needing an oil change, I took it to Island Ford. They said I needed a computer diagnostic procedure (cost $140) as well as the oil change. They then contacted me with a list of faults such as a front brake that had been overheating and "must have been seized up" to do that, despite having had no trouble whatever with the brakes. The vehicle still pulls up sharply in a dead straight line with no hands on the wheel (cost to replace brake unit $850). The tires are of an unsuitable type, despite having been fitted recently by the Revelstoke Ford main dealer quite recently (cost to replace about $2000). A rear shock absorber is "damaged", though the truck handles just as it always has whilst driving (cost to replace all four shocks over $1000). All plus labour of course, a total of over $4,000. Derren then suggested that it would be much better to buy a new vehicle from them instead of spending $4000 on my present one. Is this sharp practice? Seems like it to me. I am probably going to have them change the brake parts but will insist on having the old parts returned to me for examination. Will report further later.... More
Awful 2 year run around! I bought my 2013 Ford Fiesta in June 2013 at then Ken Evans. About 6 months (roughly) after I bought it, they had changed name and location. I noticed I bought my 2013 Ford Fiesta in June 2013 at then Ken Evans. About 6 months (roughly) after I bought it, they had changed name and location. I noticed the noisy shifting and poor gear change, so I brought in to get looked at. I was informed that I just needed to learn how to drive the car and there was nothing to worry about. They test drove it, washed it and sent me on my merry way. The problem had gotten progressively worse . So I went back 1-2 more times with the same thing 'there is nothing wrong with the car, its just a little louder shifting than other cars. Once again sent on my way. Problem still there. It was starting to get so bad with shuddering, slipping gears, not being able to find a gear to shift into that I didn't like driving for long periods of time. After a few more visits over the year I kept getting told its nothing, until a service mechanic told me early this year, (year and a half since purchase) that there is a problem with the clutch and they are waiting for new clutch parts to replace old clutch parts. He suggested that I run it until 'a part falls off' because my car wasn't failing the test. Thus not being able to be fixed. It finally took angry demands and phone calls stating that this has gone on long enough and something needs to be done. I asked the woman how many times do I have to come in until this gets fixed? I haven't been happy with the car since purchase. No one had ever contacted me to see if I was happy with the car no one sent reminders about oil changes. The salesman that sold me the car basically vanished off the face of the earth once I signed some papers. She told me that she would V.I.P. me and assured me that this would get fixed. So parts were ordered and waited I did, until this last Thursday. I made the appointment 1.5 weeks in advance and was told to bring my car in before they even really opened, and that my car would be the very first one looked at. It wasn't looked at until 11. It sat there for 3 hours. Told me they needed it all day, as it takes 4-6 hours. At that time I was offered a ride but they did not have any cars 'left' for me (at 8 in the morning) so I waited around in Duncan for 6 hours . They only worked on it for 3 hour (work order says 4, which isn't possible) as I was there to check status or pick up. When I got there they had told me that my car had just got put on the lift and sent me to get a rental car as they would need it overnight. When I got to budget they sent me back to Island Ford. They had lost my car or rather mixed it up with someone else's. I don't believe they even had time to drive it to make sure it was fixed. I was given my key and almost sent on my way. I demanded I got my paper work as this was the second time of them trying to not give me paper wo.k So finally my clutch got replaced. When driving off the lot I had noticed it felt funny, but it had been a long day and I just wanted to be done. Next day I notice this moderate vibration, I call and make a new appointment. Chad absolutely assures me that my car will be the first one worked on and I have nothing to worry about. So today I take my car in bright and early. the lady sits in my car with me and listens to the car and feels the vibration so she quickly does my paper work and tells me to have a cup of coffee and they will get back to me. Equally quick they take it for a test drive. Then it sits parked for 1hour and a half all together and so do I. Finally I go and ask what is going on. The lady says 'oh we're just sending it to get washed' .. what? Why? Told her I was getting so mad. So she does some scrambling and tells me that it needs a new clutch the one they put in isn't any good. So I yelled for my keys back gave them a piece of my mind, drove home, called Steve Marshall, took my car in, got it test driven, and they ordered my new parts. All in a half hour tops, from the time I arrived. Steve Marshall treated me like royalty. I Will never ever step foot in island ford again. I really have been treated unfairly, made me feel like it was all in my head. They brushed me off for almost two years. They.gave my false hope repeatedly. This is honestly the worst experience I've ever had. This should have been an easy fix. This was my first new car, I could have been a life long customer. More
