In general, as human beings we are quick to complain, but never too quick to praise. Being extremely busy myself, I was quick to throw out the "DealerRater Review Card"...and then...I decided to retrieve it never too quick to praise. Being extremely busy myself, I was quick to throw out the "DealerRater Review Card"...and then...I decided to retrieve it from the garbage, and congratulate HMP for their excellent service. As a family, in the past, we have dealt with many dealerships. HMP is amazing! Their sevice is beyond what is required of them. The ownership has most definitely surroundered himself with an incredible crew of people. Over the years, we have dealt with several of their people from the front desk, to sales, to service. Obviously, we don't see or know some of the employees that are behind the scenes that make HMP hum so efficiently. We would love to mention Jeff Mathers, Anne Sullivan, Mike Thompson, Brian Kelley, Ryan Freiter, Jeff Heywood, Donna Dixon, Don Dale in particular only because we have dealt with all of them on a one to one basis on a regular basis. Everyone is wonderful! To be able to create that environment is special. At HMP they take great pride in their work and it most definitely shows!! Thanks, The Chalmers and Atkay Family More
I purchased a 2012 Impala on August 1, 2013 after having previously owned a 2006 Impala. I love the car because of many reasons but for me the main reason is that I have significant neck, back and hip issue previously owned a 2006 Impala. I love the car because of many reasons but for me the main reason is that I have significant neck, back and hip issues and I travel 50 - 60,000 km/year for work. I am a social worker that works with people who have been in motor vehicle collisions. My 2006 Impala has a seat pan of 21 inches something very few vehicles have and is the only size I can have to ensure hip is in proper position to avoid pain. So I purchased the 2012 because of the same reason but the headrest has changed significantly in the new model and is tilted forward which is putting my body/neck in a different position. Within the 30 days of owning my new car I had put on 4000 km but was having terrible neck pain and low back pain forcing me to lose out on work over a 2 week period and attend a chiropractor 3x/week...when I usually attend once/week or once/2 weeks. When I met with Jeff Heywood the service manager he was determined to make a solution work for me. We tried to turn the headrest around however that provided no neck support and was informed it would be a safety hazard. We tried a headrest from another 2007 on the lot and it worked well. I told him the 2006 headrest was perfect. So he has ordered me another headrest from a 2006 model and it will be in next week at no cost to me. I believe he went above and beyond to satisfy me the customer and show his appreciation for my extended and loyal service to this dealership. This is the 4th vehicle I have purchased from this dealership. I also want to put in a good word for the sales agent - Chuck Erb who I always return to to purchase vehicles. Thank you Susan Hrovat More

My wife,2 daughters and I have all purchased vehicles from Tim Hamather over the past 6 or 7 years. Tim has made this experience very comfortable and as a result I have driven from London to Exeter (40 m from Tim Hamather over the past 6 or 7 years. Tim has made this experience very comfortable and as a result I have driven from London to Exeter (40 min.) to have all these vehicles serviced. I have found everyone that I have dealt with at HMP to be very helpful , knowledgeable and friendly. The prices I have paid for new cars and service have been very competitive i.e.burnt out blinker light HMP labour $8. , CANADIAN TIRE $43. I highly suggest you give Tim a try. More

We have dealt at many different dealerships over the years but none of them have ever come close to HMP. It doesn't matter what you arein for Anne always takes the time to say hi & always asks about my years but none of them have ever come close to HMP. It doesn't matter what you arein for Anne always takes the time to say hi & always asks about my inlaws who are 90 & 87. Tim is one heck of a guy because as we always say if you deal with HMP you are treated like family. Every one of their employees always has a smile on their face & each and every one will say hi if they walk past you. The coffee is always hot and the smiles are free & contagious. Tim you are one heck of a boss because I have never ever seen any of your employees with a scowl on their face. Keep up the good work Anne for answering the phones , taking messages & directing customers to the sales staff. Kim keep your staff motivated like you are doing now & you will be in business for a long time. We truly enjoy coming to Exeter from Salford for our service on our Equinox kep up the good work. Over the years I have had many transactions with car dealerships in several towns over southern Ontario. The experience in many instances has left a sour taste. HMP in Exeter has been more than satisf dealerships in several towns over southern Ontario. The experience in many instances has left a sour taste. HMP in Exeter has been more than satisfactory. So much so in fact, I travel from Hamilton to Exeter for any work to be done on my vehicle even though there are other General Motors locations nearby. Service is friendly and the repairs a thorough More

I have purchased four vehicles from HMP since 1989 with the most recent as of last year. I am always genuinely greeted by each employee from reception to sales and to service. They certainly make me feel t the most recent as of last year. I am always genuinely greeted by each employee from reception to sales and to service. They certainly make me feel that I as a customer am important each and every time. As a simple example, I recently called the service department on July 10th at 3:00pm for a battery replacement and was told they were booked solid for the rest of the day which I totally understood but the service rep agreed to do what they could if I could bring it in and they would either fit it in or do it first thing the next day. I arrived at around 3:20pm and saw that the bays were filled. I left the van there for the next day. I received a call about an hour later at 4:30pm that same day advising me that the van was ready and if I wanted it delivered to my home. This is only a recent example and one of dozens that I could write about but there is not enough room to do so. I have never had a bad experience at HMP for their workmanship, professionalism, friendliness and overall quality of service and appearance not to mention their strong involvement in the community. As an example, when I called them in September 2008 needing three 7 passenger vans for two days for a major community event I was organizing and the response was “where can we drop them off and what time do you need them”, plus “what else can we help out with”? I am of the opinion that community commitment is not forgotten. Because of HMPs incredible reputation I take a moment to reflect on a very opposite experience at a dealership from Edmundston New Brunswick where in 2010 I was travelling to the east coast of Canada with my family and had an electrical problem. The workmanship there was horrendous, the cost was piracy and they left us stranded with the same problem as we had before we arrived and in fact caused more damage as a result of their shoddy workmanship. I felt that the $431.xx so called “repair bill” was a form of organized theft since I was from Ontario. The only reason I went to that dealership is because it said "GMC" on the door and the solid reputation that HMP has built for themselves I felt this would be the same. That Edmundston New Brunswick dealership should have been ashamed of their treatment but they were not. I actually had to make the repair myself when we were able to get home…. That is another story. We in Southwestern Ontario are spoiled by the complete professionalism at HMP and fortunate that HMP is in Exeter. I was expecting the same at the Edmundston New Brunswick Dealership. I certainly feel qualified to compare dealerships. HMP has EARNED the right as the #1 Dealership in Canada. I have recommended this dealership to countless people for over 20 years and will continue for at least another 20 years. My son turns 16 in March 2014 and he has started to talk about his first vehicle which as he says will be bought at HMP… A future loyal customer in the making. More
