Steven Thank you for your feedback. I regret that we were not able to meet your expectations on your new Tundra. Please allow me to respond to some of your specific concerns: The Calgary Stampede paperwork you found in your truck was presumably a pass from the Calgary Auto Show. Your truck was on display at the auto show that year. As is standard practice, your truck and all the rest of the vehicles on display were allocated after the show to local dealerships where they are sold as new vehicles. Before being given back to dealers, they are given a thorough inspection by Toyota. If it had been repainted we would have been provided a record of that. No such record exists and your truck has never seen the inside of our collision centre. Yours was indeed a NEW vehicle and had only 12Km on the odometer when you took delivery. The only instances of it being driven were during the PDI, moving in and out of the BMO Centre and on and off the back of a car carrier. As is our policy with all new vehicle deliveries, you were given an opportunity at time of delivery to inspect the truck before any money was exchanged and at that time you were satisfied with its condition and indicated no deficiencies on the inspection form. It wasn't until you found the Calgary Stampede paperwork that you began to identify issues with the truck... namely a few light surface scratches on the clearcoat. It would appear that the paperwork raised suspicions and made you distrustful of us. You had already driven your truck over 1000Km before you identified your issues with it, and as a gesture of goodwill at 1314Km we polished and detailed your truck. At 3693 Km we gave you a free oil change and replaced your steering wheel, where you had found a scratch in the leather covering. We replaced an interior trim piece that you felt was "spongey feeling" and we replaced the antenna which you identified as bent though it required careful examination to confirm it. At 4036Km we replaced the rubber mouldings on the roof which were knocked loose in a car wash. At 4349Km we adjusted your alignment. I feel we have made our best effort to keep you satisfied but I regret that we were unable to meet your standards. I'm relieved that you have found a dealer who has restored your confidence in the Toyota brand. I see from your service history that you've brought it back to them 5 times in the last 2 months. I hope you continue to receive excellent service and remain a loyal Toyota customer.
