I have dealt with Tom Harris for almost ten years. An old adage states that a salesperson sells you your first vehicle and the service deaprtment sells you the rest. I bought several vehicles from Joe Lafuedo, only because of one person, Mr. Dan Dick. Joe sold me the first vehicle, and Dan Dick and his outstanding customer service in the Service Department kept me coming back to the Harris group. I have dealt with more car dealerships in my life than I care to recall, both profesionally and personally, and the VERY BEST is Harris Oceanside and Mr. Dick. Dan has looked after my vehicles for the last ten years. He is vastly knowledgeable, professional and courteous in his dealings with me, and when he says that he will do something his word is golden. Each and every time I take my vehicles in for work, Dan does it right the first time, no call backs, no revisits, no mistakes. To who it may concern, A few months ago May19\2011 I To who it may concern, A few months ago May19\2011 I was in the market for a new vehicle and went to Oceanside Gm Parkville, and dealt with two ver To who it may concern, A few months ago May19\2011 I was in the market for a new vehicle and went to Oceanside Gm Parkville, and dealt with two very well informed employees Ryan and Harlem, and as such in the end bought the 2011,Terrain,which I'm still very happy with. A couple of weeks ago Approx 07 \May\2011 my wife decided she now wanted to buy a new vehicle, but wanted a small truck. To be honest I was not in favor of her decision, so I told her if she really wanted a small truck that she would have to do it herself but had my blessing, I was actually hoping that she would not be able to make a deal. Well to my surprise within 1½ hrs there she is driving into our driveway with Harlem in the passenger seat, and requesting me to give it a test run which I did, I was impressed with her decision and told her to now go and close the deal, hoping that she may fail, but to my surprise by the next day she had a deal, and that was all due to three main charters' Ryan, Harlem, and Steve, which I met during the closing which of course needed my signature. So once again I must congratulate all three for their manner in which they conducted themselves during this trying time to make sure that my wife would leave the dealership happy with her purchase. And as we all know when ones wife is happy, life at home can be very pleasant. There professional attitude, and patience thoughout this ordeal, made my wife come away very pleased and happy with her purchase. I would be remise if I did not mention Cheryl, whom I had the pleasure of meeting during my Paper and signature part. She was very thorough and explained everything in simple and understanding language, but was not pushy or over-bearing for that we thank her. To sum up, everyone we meet at Oceanside and that includes the ones who work in the back end, make you feel at home. You can be rest assured when the time comes to once again look for a new car it will be at Oceanside GM Parkville. May all of you be around for a long,long time, you are a credit to Mr. Harris. Mike is customer service oriented and speaks clearly. He anticipates customer needs and provides complete, organized customer service. He has raised the rating to OK. Ryan caused us some problems that clouded our buying experience. We signed a deal allowing 90 days for truck delivery from the factory. We got home, and Ryan called to ask us to extend the wait time to 120 days. We said a few days over 90 wouldn't be a problem, perhaps he could throw in car mats. He phoned back to say we should drive to the dealership once more, to sign a 120 day contract! This was not acceptable. Today we got our new Silverado before the Sept. 13, 90 day deadline. However the paper work we were asked to sign showed a price $500 more than what we agreed to, and the accounts person told us the original paper work was lost. Luckily, we had our paper work so the price was corrected. I would like to see Mike to push hard on his customers' behalf when these problems arise. I felt he left the financials to Ryan, and I would have preferred to do the whole deal with Mike. Mike gave us a tour of the service bays and they were very clean and roomy, but that won't tell me if the work is good and the pricing honest. I would have rather had the financials in perfect order and not seen the service bays. More
