2016 Mazda 3 Sport, RED :) I was happy with the level of service from Harris Mazda in Nanaimo BC. This was my first time buying a new car. I had originally been working with I was happy with the level of service from Harris Mazda in Nanaimo BC. This was my first time buying a new car. I had originally been working with another salesperson (who was excellent) in April for this purchase, but had to postpone buying the car until late summer. When I was ready to buy, I worked with Kurt Alyward, who had it nice and easy, since I was already sold on the car when I arrived. Kurt was professional and very good to work with. There seemed to be some initial hesitation from the dealership to bring in a car of my colour choice from the Mainland to the Island, but when I indicated that I had a used 2014 Mazda 3 Sport lined up, they did find the one I wanted, and had it delivered within a week. The financing portion of the purchase seemed to take longer than necessary, but I hear this is often the case with a new car purchase. Robert was friendly and easy to talk with, and offered professional advice and constructive suggestions, some of which I took advantage of. Driving the car off the lot felt great. This purchase was a Big Deal! When I got it home, I did a better inspection of the car. I found that it had been scraped on the bottom of the front fender, maybe when they were loading/unloading the car. The dealership has agreed to replace the fender the next time I'm in town for a bit of time. There was no hesitation to replace the scraped part. I returned to the dealership a few days after the purchase to have different tires mounted and my bike rack and hitch installed. Jess in Service was awesome, I wanted to hang out with her all day. I don't remember the other person's name, but he was excellent as well. The Bluetooth wasn't what I expected, and together they told me of it's limitations, and that it wasn't actually smart enough to do what I was asking of it. I've adjusted my expectations and am happy enough with the tech as it is. I left the car there, expecting to get a call in a few hours when it was ready; this was probably my only slight annoyance with Service: I did not receive a call to let me when the car was ready, and I was on a tight schedule. I had to call the office to find out that it was ready for pickup. Before leaving, I asked for a demonstration of the bike rack, since I was going to have to use it the next day for a trip across the province. This request seemed to come as a surprise to the people I was talking to. Adams was very knowledgeable and showed me how to hook the rack up, and how the tilt latches worked, but I felt like I had to ask for each part of the demonstration. When I asked how the bikes are actually strapped on, and how the locking mechanism worked, Adams asked for the "bag of parts" including the key, that "should" be in the car somewhere. Turns out that the bag of parts was still "somewhere" in the dealership, and was found after some digging. At this point it was revealed to me that this expensive add on that I'd purchased had been used as a demo model in the dealership. Anyway, it was a good thing that I'd asked for a demonstration of the equipment, otherwise I would not have been able to use it the way I needed to the next day. I am happy with the car, and I had an overall good experience at Harris Mazda. A couple of things could have made it an excellent experience, but yes, I would recommend buying from them. Be sure to ask for a demonstration of the bike rack when you go. More

At last I decided to simply stop by the dealership at the end of my day and see if anyone had time for me. To my surprise a salesman on his way home (like driving off the lot to go home) saw me, stopped his car, and got out to see if I needed help ... nice job LUKE HAWKINS that's taking care of customers!!! 90 minutes later I drove home in my new Mazda GS3. Another shout out to David Corrigal who also stayed behind to help finalize the purchase. I really felt that the guys at the dealership went beyond expected at that late time in the day and I am very thankful and appreciative of their service. I would also like to give a shout out to Kurt Alyward who took me out for my original test drive (on his first day on the lot!!), plus Tyler Lavin and Lyle Williams who make the place feel like so welcoming. More

Tyler is patient, helpful, willing to listen and try all possible solutions to my requests. Seriously, I have seen worse but haven't met the best until I met Tyler and I mean it! His manager, David is nice and friendly, he seems like a boss to with with. I was a sales manager before so I know how a good leadership can grow a good staff. Their finance manager, kind and talkative, gave us alot of advices in travelling on Vancouver island. And as fitle says, "they are all helpful, friendly and hansome", my wife says!! We came from the main land to Nanaimo to purchase the car, Because we didn't bring our other car, Kurt was so nice as to pick us up from the ferry as well as take us to the bank to certify the payment cheque. Robert processed the paperwork in the shortest time possible so that we could continue with our site-seeing on the island. The insurance broker at the dealership was great as well. We were very pleased with Harris Mazda. We would gladly consider them in the future and recommend to our friends. More
