Dealer installed new brake rotors and pads. 6 months later brakes were checked by other dealer and discovered no lubrication had been applied. Harris Mazda would not reimburse me for the cost of the follow-up brake service eventhough it was due to their poor work. My front brake rotors are now warped and Harris Mazda is not willing to do anything to compensate me for their poor service. Update - after further complaint and discussion with general manager Youseff (spelling?) Harris Mazda allowed me to use a $100 credit towards having the front rotors lathed. Dave McGean worked with me to get the cost of this work down to $100 so I was not out any more money. I appreciated this and time will tell how long this fix lasts. While still not overly impressed with the customer service (this is the dealership I purchased the car from (although it has changed owners)) I have received in the past, I;ll be willing to give them another chance should my car need dealer servicing. More

All of the service staff no us by first name when we walk in. They could have killed my family when they did'nt tighten THREE LUG NUTS after replacing a tire during servicing. Our 3 year old vehicle with only 70,000 km has had replaced 1.Transmission (they also left the protective cover off the transmisson after repair) 2.Steering rod (Botched alignment after replacerment. 3.Brake issues 4.Several unusal noises and ticks 5.Front passenger pillar cover replaced twice and has yet to be fixed properly Did you know when your buying a "reliable" Japanese Mazda your actually buying a Ford? Research it and see for yourself I could go on and on about how lousy my Mazda and service are. I'm going to be picketing their dealerships soon. That's how much they've pissed me off. Dan constantly mentions that I got the car for such a good price, that I should not really expect any other follow up facilities and items relevant to the car I purchased. I paid the exact price that the car was advertised for (NOT A DOLLAR LESS!!). Prior to the purchase, Dan was super friendly and easy to contact, 2 days after the sale , it was virtually impossible to get him to return any of my phone calls. Yousef is pushy and arrogant. He was not very helpful and he made me feel that my questions about the vehicle were totally irrelevant.I got the feeling that I was wasting his precious time. Jason, is by far, the most decent person I dealt with at the dealership. I would definitely NOT recommend this dealership More

I am the proud owner of a 2008 Mazda Tribute. I purchased it brand new from Harris Mazda in Nanaimo. It’s a great vehicle – reliable with good fuel economy. I have never had any problems with it, however, it brand new from Harris Mazda in Nanaimo. It’s a great vehicle – reliable with good fuel economy. I have never had any problems with it, however, today when I put my key into the ignition, it wouldn’t turn. The ignition appeared to have seized up. I called the dealership and was told how to unlock it and, in a matter of seconds, I was on my way. I proceeded to drive directly to the Service Dept so I could make arrangements to have the ignition fixed. There is never a good time for your vehicle not to start and I didn’t want to take a chance on this ever happening again. I fully expected that I would have to make an appointment to bring my vehicle in at a later date. To my surprise, I was told the technician would meet me out at my car. Rob Goldsmith came out, inspected the ignition, determined the cause and fixed the ignition right there on the spot! Rob proves you can be friendly and professional at the same time. It was a pleasure to meet him and, who ever hired him, chose the right man for the job. I sometimes feel that customer service is quickly becoming a thing of the past, however, this young man has renewed my faith that there are people out there who still care about their customers and understand the importance of being there no matter how large (or small) a vehicle issue may be. My husband and I both own Mazda's and will continue to deal with Harris Mazda because of the professional and efficient way after sales concerns are handled. Thank you Rob! More
I had been looked for a used BMW for some time and Steven found a three for me to test drive. I'm not from the Nanaimo area and so arrived very early on a Saturday morning. My husband and I test drove three different car's then Steven took us out for breakfast to discuss the xxxxxxand cons of each car. After more driving we decided on which one we wanted. After some negotiating we hammered out a fair deal for both. Steven and Mazda made there money I got a great car that didn't cost the moon. I found Steven to be honest and happy and kind. I felt that as a dealership and work place that there was an air of honesty and helpfulness on the part of all the staff. Thank you Steven!!!! More

I bought a truck from Harris Mazda awhile ago and was very dissatisfied with the whole buying experience. I just found out about this website to voice my displeasure. The sales manager is very dishonest very dissatisfied with the whole buying experience. I just found out about this website to voice my displeasure. The sales manager is very dishonest and will not honour his word. I put $1000. deposit down on this truck and I told him many times I did not want it part of the deal that I wanted it put back on my credit card. well he used my $1000. deposit in the deal to get the payments down to were I needed to be. I was very uncomfortable with the whole deal, the next day I called the financial lady to say I was not happy and to tear up the contract, well she was supposed to call me back and never did. I called the sales manager the next day and he said he would look into it, he never did call back. So I called him and we set up a meeting with him and the financial lady the next morning, I showed up at the agreed time and both the sales manager and financial lady were in Victoria for a conference ! Now I know this guy is dishonest and has absolutely no respect for my time. I met with the General Manager and he told me that he had no authority to do anything! So he is as dishonest as Sales Manager. I finally met with sales manager after he got back from Victoria and he said "sorry too late we cant do nothing now". But I can take advantage of there 10 day no hassle exchange policy. So I said to find me a smaller truck, so he found a perfect truck at there Oceanside dealership in Parksville I said ok lets do it ! I was quite happy that he found me a perfect truck that was $ 5000. less. Until he told me it was going to cost me almost $200. / month more !!! I just felt so deflated and that I was getting screwed by him again. He also promised other things in the deal that he will not honour. It is my own fault that I signed the deal under VERY high pressure sales, but I trusted these people that I was doing the right thing. And they definitely don't look after there customers after you sign the contract. I was talking to a salesperson that used to work there and they quit because they didn't like there "turn and burn" way of doing business. More
