I bought a truck from Harris Mazda awhile ago and was very dissatisfied with the whole buying experience. I just found out about this website to voice my displeasure. The sales manager is very dishonest very dissatisfied with the whole buying experience. I just found out about this website to voice my displeasure. The sales manager is very dishonest and will not honour his word. I put $1000. deposit down on this truck and I told him many times I did not want it part of the deal that I wanted it put back on my credit card. well he used my $1000. deposit in the deal to get the payments down to were I needed to be. I was very uncomfortable with the whole deal, the next day I called the financial lady to say I was not happy and to tear up the contract, well she was supposed to call me back and never did. I called the sales manager the next day and he said he would look into it, he never did call back. So I called him and we set up a meeting with him and the financial lady the next morning, I showed up at the agreed time and both the sales manager and financial lady were in Victoria for a conference ! Now I know this guy is dishonest and has absolutely no respect for my time. I met with the General Manager and he told me that he had no authority to do anything! So he is as dishonest as Sales Manager. I finally met with sales manager after he got back from Victoria and he said "sorry too late we cant do nothing now". But I can take advantage of there 10 day no hassle exchange policy. So I said to find me a smaller truck, so he found a perfect truck at there Oceanside dealership in Parksville I said ok lets do it ! I was quite happy that he found me a perfect truck that was $ 5000. less. Until he told me it was going to cost me almost $200. / month more !!! I just felt so deflated and that I was getting screwed by him again. He also promised other things in the deal that he will not honour. It is my own fault that I signed the deal under VERY high pressure sales, but I trusted these people that I was doing the right thing. And they definitely don't look after there customers after you sign the contract. I was talking to a salesperson that used to work there and they quit because they didn't like there "turn and burn" way of doing business. More

The Harris Mazda service department excels at the job, from service advisor, Alisa Berntsen, to Bill Soles, Parts Manager extraordinaire, all the fabulous mechanics who have looked after our Mazdas for 14 from service advisor, Alisa Berntsen, to Bill Soles, Parts Manager extraordinaire, all the fabulous mechanics who have looked after our Mazdas for 14 years, and of course, all wonderfully overseen by John Cassidy, Service Manager. Alisa has been with them since 2002 and is the most knowledgeable service person we have ever dealt with. She is approachable, helpful, consistent and informative. We feel we have always been given value for our money. We will continue to buy Mazdas mainly because of the staff in the Service Department. Thank you Alisa, Bill, John, Corey, and all the extremely capable mechanics (sorry - we don't know their names) who have looked after our 1994 MX3 Precidia, 1993 929 Serenia, 2002 Millenia and 2008 Mazda3. While I only came in for temperature guage check and an oil change the mechanic and customer service person found a cracked head casket and determined that there was a leak from a water valve. Testing the oil change the mechanic and customer service person found a cracked head casket and determined that there was a leak from a water valve. Testing the fluids indicated that the transmission fluid needed to be flushed and changed. Not being a mechanic myself I decided to follow their suggestion and get all these items fixed. I felt they did a good job even if my repair bill went from a about $60 for an oil change to over $1000 for the work done. More
All of the staff at Harris Mazda were great and were willing to do whatever it took to get a deal done and were all very friendly. She gave us a good idea of which vehicle would suit our needs and fit in our price range. The next time we came to test drive the Mazda 5, Jason Barth was also just as friendly, relaxed, and very knowledgeable. He also tries to be as flexible as he was able to with his own time in meeting our schedule and was very attentive in fulfilling our needs. He answered all of our questions and was helpful and polite throughout the process as well as after the sale was made. His customer service skills are top notch! You two made our experience at Harris Mazda pleasant, thank yous! We hope there will be more valuable employees like you both :) More
Sharon was a breath of fresh air when it comes to dealing with car sales(wo)men. After entering the lot on Labour Day weekend (xxxxxxto Harris Mazda, by the way, for being open on a long weekend when many other dealerships were closed!), we were pleasantly welcomed by Sharon. The entire process was painless – we quickly negotiated a fair price, traded in our junker, signed the papers and were on our way out the door with the key to a new, silver Mazda 2 in hand. There were no surprises along the journey and every staff member we dealt with, from Sharon to the head honcho to the finance woman, was professional and kind. In the future, we would certainly look to buy another car from this dealer -- says a lot as we live in Victoria! More
