I was "car shopping" on several lots, trying to decide to go for a new or used vehicle. My last two cars were Subaru Foresters but didn't really need something that big anymore. Jonathan was fairly new on the job but seemed quite knowledgeable and friendly and definitely "non pushy" - which as an older female, I really appreciated. We took a couple of cars out for a test drive, including the CX5 and the new Mazda 3. Then Jonathan pointed out three 2011 Mazda 3's on the lot and suggested they were excellent value for the money. Daniel, the sales manager, offered me what I considered a very fair price on my 2003 Subaru, as a trade, and we made a deal! Jeanette, the financial person, was a bit pushy about some of the options available - that is her job of course and she was very knowledgeable. When I made it clea, I was not interested, she backed right off. I am very pleased with the car, love the colour (copper red mica), and the way it handles. I had a zillion questions which Jonathan answered promptly and willingly, without making me feel "dumb" in any way. He has followed up a couple of times with phone calls to check my satisfaction with the car. I was in sales much of my working life and he has the "people skills" to do well in this industry. This is my first Mazda -- but I suspect it will not be my last. Next month I will get to experience the service department and will report back again then. . More
The wife & I went to two other Mazda dealerships on the Island before we ended up at Harris Nanaimo. Daniel Jones was truthful & helpfull. Yousef Assaf gave us a deal that the other dealerships were not willing to offer and he was very pleasent to deal with. John was our salesman who walked us thru all the exciting features our new Mazda had to offer. Finally, Janette made buying the new car so pleasantly pain free. She was so on the ball with the paper work, it was a breeze. The wife and I are so glad that we chose Harris Mazda and we will always come back More
We arrived at Harris Mazda to get at computer chip key cut and programmed,unaware that this service normally requires an appointment as it requires 15 to 20 minutes of the technicians time.The parts depar cut and programmed,unaware that this service normally requires an appointment as it requires 15 to 20 minutes of the technicians time.The parts department and service advisors,particularly Jason Barth dropped everything and sqeezed us in even though it was the technicians lunch break(sorry,I did'nt get your name) .Then, when the job was complete,Jason had my sons truck washed and vacuumed.Great service! I came in because my car was in desperate need of a general service and Melinda went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and even got it in for a cleaning which was also much needed. I had a couple of not so good experience with the service on our car but Jason did come though and made a bad deal better. Now when I come in we can joke about it. I had been looking for a new car for several months and really liked the Mazda CX-5. When I first went to have a serious look, Johnathan Fiddick approached my husband & I and we like him immediately. He really liked the Mazda CX-5. When I first went to have a serious look, Johnathan Fiddick approached my husband & I and we like him immediately. He was honest that it was his 2nd day on the job but already knew a lot about the car. He was enthusiastic and friendly but not pushy. We went for a test drive and then we went home. When we came back several weeks later, we asked for Johnathan and he had obviously been studying and knew much more about the product. We happily bought the car and have had no regrets… we love it! The Sales Manager was awesome also, my only complaint would be that once we decided to purchase the car, my husband had to go to work and I was on my own to do the signing etc and Janet was very pushy and intimidating about buying extra insurance for this and that and I ended up signing up for insurance I did not want. We went back later and cancelled it and with my husband in tow… she didn't argue and cancelled the extra insurance. In the end, it was a happy story and experience. More
