We dealt with Kyle at GP Hyundai. It took us a month to decide what vehicle we wanted. I was really dreading car shopping because I’m not a big fan of pushy sales people. The 1st time we went we said we were just looking and he respected that and didn’t keep calling us. The 2nd time we went we had our choices down to 2: A Kia and Hyundai. We came home again and weighed the pros and cons of each vehicle and decided to go with the Hyundai Santa Fe XRT. He was great answering our questions and getting back to us promptly with any questions we had. I’ve only been driving the Santa Fe for a day but we are happy with it so far. More

Service work done involved using a part that was incorrectly packaged, which ended up causing two break downs on the highway between Penticton and Grande Prairie. Although the initial support was gr incorrectly packaged, which ended up causing two break downs on the highway between Penticton and Grande Prairie. Although the initial support was great, as time went on, there was less communication from the Service Manager. Only updates were through my inquiries. It took approx. 2 weeks to get a reimbursement check mailed to me for all expenses incurred as a result of the incorrect part. Part of the repairs involved damage to a new rim from a set of 4 that were installed the month before. I was led to believe the intention was to pay for the rim replacement as well since none of this was our fault. I purchased the new rim and sent the receipt for repayment. After a week I checked on the status, and Service Manager said he was away the previous week, but would look into it. Two weeks later I emailed again and was told their system was down due to a "hacker" or virus of some kind, but he would follow up once the system was back up. I sent a final email a week later saying that I was unhappy with how long it was taking to be reimbursed, and the Service Manager than left a message to call him again. I did not call, all I want is my costs for their mistake reimbursed, and I still have received nothing for my damaged rim and no reason why.. Having them do my warranty work cost us two highway breakdowns, a night in a hotel, day of work missed because we were late getting home, a 2 1/2 hour trip in the front of a tow truck with my husband and the driver, and approx. $219.00 for my rim that I had replaced. They started out great, and we understand things happen, but it's how you deal with it moving forward. They dropped the ball, and seem to be OK with that, I am for sure going to think twice before I bring my car back for any more work, I have lost confidence and respect for the dealership, I only wish they weren't the only option in .GP, UPDATE: I received payment for my rim replacement today, so they have honored all promised reimbursements which I appreciate. More

I recently bought a 2024 Kona and I'm absolutely loving it! My previous car was the 2020 Kona. That car was really good to me over the years, no issues and was great on mileage. I went in to see what my options were. When I got there, I was greeted at the door by Kyle Farquhar. I had seen him many times going in for an oil service, but never had the pleasure of meeting him. Kyle was fantastic from start to finish. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, great sense of humour, it was like chatting with an old buddy. And the best part, I didn't feel like I was being pushed at all. While they were checking over my vehicle, they pulled up the 2024 Kona and went for the test drive. First off, I was so impressed with the look of this vehicle. Second, I really liked the clearance. Third, way more room inside from front to back. It was very comfortable and I loved the new features as well as the look of the dashboard. Also loved the grooves on the steering wheel. Cruising down the highway or navigating through the city, the ride was super smooth. Potholes, bumps, no problem. It has the normal mode, sport, and snow, which you can switch while driving. Lane assist, which is new to me, and an easy one button cruise control. I could keep going but just go test drive one and see for yourself. They checked over my 2020 Kona, came up with some numbers that I was happy with. While waiting for the financing process, Kyle sat with us and I felt like I knew him for years. Chatting about foods, outdoor cookouts on the Blackstone Grills. Note to self: Don't skip lunch when you go car shopping. ;) I explored more options, but with the service I received the last 4 years from these guys, that is what made my decision so much easier. The whole team made it a great experience and they don't stop there. They make you feel like you are part of their family. Same for the service department, top notch as well. Before I left, Kyle sat with me in the car and went through everything with me. He programmed everything for me so I wouldn't have to figure it out on my own.Love it! I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with the new Kona from GP Hyundai. It's got everything I wanted in a car and more.
