Beware! Think twice of buying a used car at Auto Haus. An out of province buyer needs the purchased vehicle safety checked in their province of residence wit Think twice of buying a used car at Auto Haus. An out of province buyer needs the purchased vehicle safety checked in their province of residence within 7 days. That's where things went wrong for me. The 2019 Toyota RAV4 I bought came with 'a' safety check. The salespersons assured me there would be no problem getting the car safetied in Ontario. But the safety check in Ontario at a Toyota dealer showed 4 extremely rusted brake rotors and an incorrect battery type, poorly installed. It was not fastened properly and would not stay in position. Repair cost: $2000. I made photo's and a video of the necessary repairs and presented them to Auto Haus. Their reaction was that I should have gotten in touch with them first before the repairs were done. They would have given me a list with 'trusted' shops in my area. Implying that the Toyota dealer was crooked. They knew and approved that I bring it there! Too bad they didn't provide this list in the first place. It makes me wonder if the list actually exists. Or is it just a lame excuse to avoid paying? Advice: get the out of province safety check included in the sale! It's all about the money at Auto Haus. The VW dealership appears to be a front. The core business is selling used cars. I traded in a 2002 Toyota Highlander with 409.000 km. I was upfront about its numerous malfunctions, unrepairable differential, etc.. The salesperson agreed and said it would probably be donated. I was given $500 courtesy. I was very surprised to see my Highlander on their website a week later. Asking price $4900! It's all about the money at Auto Haus. Their money that is! More
Purchased a certified pre owned from them and was supposed to bring it back in to repair a dent, pick up the winter tires that came with the vehicle, and get the certified pre owned paperwork which supposed to bring it back in to repair a dent, pick up the winter tires that came with the vehicle, and get the certified pre owned paperwork which really should have been provided with the bill of sale. When they didn't follow up with me, I reached out several times via text and email. After 2 months of being pretty much ignored I was frustrated and sent one last email demanding a response. The salesman got back to me instantly accusing me of "missing their call" (which never actually happened) I pointed out that I have voicemail and no one had left a message. Having to wait 2 months to get important paperwork and a call back about an appointment is pretty ridiculous. Aside from that there was a misunderstanding on my end on what the warranty covered. Which is unfortunate because I'm now having to pay for repairs on a vehicle I've had for 2 months. You'd expect that from a private sale or broker. Not a dealership that says their vehicles are in like new condition. More
Do not buy from this dealership and even if you somehow decide to buy from them, DO NOT LET THEM RUSH YOU INTO SIGNING THE DOCUMENTS!! Check the figures!! The initial price they tell you is never the actu decide to buy from them, DO NOT LET THEM RUSH YOU INTO SIGNING THE DOCUMENTS!! Check the figures!! The initial price they tell you is never the actual price. I somehow went from an agreed price of around 12k to 22k!! They will try to add warranties without your permission. AGAIN, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. A few people have said that the customer service before and after is way different and they are not lying. They are only interested in making sales and nothing else. In the event that you need to cancel a warranty, go directly to the insuring company because this dealership will tell you that it cannot be cancelled. AVOID THIS PLACE!! More
Sales department is fantastic however, once the paper work is signed and you have to deal with the service department you will be extremely disappointed. Service department is disrespectful, they don’ work is signed and you have to deal with the service department you will be extremely disappointed. Service department is disrespectful, they don’t listen to your issues, blame you for any issues and dismiss your concerns. I watched Tom Brown the VW Service manage yell at a lady and tell her she doesn’t know her car. The lady told me after she was just asking a question. I have personally experienced this is well. If you buy at car from VW Auto Haus be sure not to get it serviced there as you will learn quickly your concerns don’t matter. More
