Disappointing Experience with Georgian Chevrolet Buick GMC – Issues with Vehicle Condition and Lack of Accountability I purchased a used 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe from Georgian Chevrolet Buick GMC, and whi GMC – Issues with Vehicle Condition and Lack of Accountability I purchased a used 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe from Georgian Chevrolet Buick GMC, and while the sales process itself was straightforward and without issue, my experience with the dealership’s post-purchase service has been less than satisfactory. 42 days after taking delivery of the vehicle, I brought it to a Hyundai dealership for a routine oil change, wheel alignment, and to ensure the vehicle was properly registered in their system. During the inspection, the technician discovered that the front left brake rotor was pitted and required resurfacing. According to Hyundai, the pitting likely developed over the past 2-3 months and would have been present when the vehicle was delivered. While I did notice some irregular wear on the rotor prior to purchasing the vehicle, I assumed it was normal and didn’t raise any concerns at the time. However, I now believe this issue should have been identified during the dealership's certification process, especially considering the vehicle was marketed as a certified pre-owned model. The resurfacing of the rotor cost me $318.09, and I feel this expense should have been covered by Georgian Chevrolet Buick GMC, given that the problem was present at the time of sale. I reached out to the dealership to discuss the issue, but was told there was nothing they could do. They also mentioned a ‘UCD SAFETY INSPECT’ from 08/16/24 in the vehicle’s service history, but the pitting clearly wasn't detected during that inspection. This lack of attention to detail is especially disappointing, given that I’ve been a loyal customer for over 15 years. In fact, I spent over $13,000 on repairs to a 2018 Silverado just last year, not to mention additional costs on other vehicles in my household. It's worth noting that Georgian Chevrolet Buick GMC is part of the larger Alberta-based Canada One Auto Group, which operates dealerships across multiple provinces in Canada. Given my long history with the dealership, I expected better customer service and accountability, particularly for a significant issue like this. To potential buyers: please be aware that while the sales experience might be fine, you should carefully scrutinize any used vehicle you purchase and manage your expectations regarding the dealership’s post-sale support. What a headache and stressful terrible dealership never buy anything here ever.I walked out of my new vehicle purchase at there dealership mid purchase and drove my original vehicle home that's how crap the service and word of this place and people is.I wouldn't purchase a lawnmower from them never mind a family vehicle. This isn't the first time I have had xxxx experiences with Chevrolet either the Chevrolet dealership in Parry sound allowed my new tires and rims to be stolen out of the bed of my truck on there own property. Seriously thinking about switching vehicle brands because of all the bullhit that comes with owning a Chevrolet there dealerships and services suck . More

I consistently experience competence, care and courtesy from every staff member in all departments. Everyone’s experience is different. Sometimes things aren’t exactly as we would like. Sometimes our expectations are unachievable. Sometimes errors happen, and sometimes people do their very best. My recent experience at Georgian Chevrolet Buick GMC demonstrates people doing their best. No matter how well we plan, ‘life can often alter our plans’. On July 15, 2022, a vehicle collision altered my plans- for that weekend, and the five months to follow. My vehicle was towed from St. Thomas, ON to Georgian Chevrolet Buick GMC. On Monday, July 18, Laura was ‘on it’. Damages were being assessed and parts were ordered. No one could have anticipated that “supply chain issues” would delay completion of the work until Dec.20. It’s been said that, “How you handle a crisis is a test of your character.” The manner in which my ‘crisis’ was managed speaks volumes about the character of the staff at Georgian. Laura, in service, played a key role in overseeing the repairs to my car, and handling unpleasant calls from a very unreasonable insurance adjuster. She did not allow this negative pressure to affect her decision-making process. Her integrity protected my interests. The progress reports she gave me every week, during the entire 5 months, gave me the confidence and peace of mind I needed. Georgian Chevrolet Buick GMC has earned my respect and loyalty. Why would I consider trading such a ‘sweet ride’? More
Alex Schaffernicht assisted us in the lease of our new Silverado. We couldn’t be happier with the speed, service and knowledge he provided. Chevy Bolt was dropped off for battery recall, car was returned with 25% charge. 2 days later car won’t move . Towed to dealership where they started unauthorized repairs on unrelated system, and another returned with 25% charge. 2 days later car won’t move . Towed to dealership where they started unauthorized repairs on unrelated system, and another new battery was ordered. 3 weeks later the second new battery was installed and the car was returned once again to me (fully charged). This time the car drove for 2 weeks before refusing to move again. Returned to dealer a third time. This time the problem was found to be a body module software update which they charged me for. I was offered compensation for fuel which I’m still waiting for as well. Discussing with GM corporate and still awaiting an explanation from the shop foreman. Oh and the $50 to clean the loaner was a further slap in the face. Stay away from this stealership. More
