I called regarding a cargo van they posted on their website, which wasn’t landed or even built yet.. they called back telling me I could order a new one. After I put my deposit down for the new vehic website, which wasn’t landed or even built yet.. they called back telling me I could order a new one. After I put my deposit down for the new vehicle they canceled the deal because I was using a loan for my business. Very poor customer service and recommend them to no one. Also funny that one manager is listen on dealer rater. Obviously I’m not the first person to go through this at freedom ford. More
They will not leave you alone. Do not go in there unless you're lonely and enjoy being harassed for weeks afterwards. I have told them 4 times to stop calling and messaging, and they continue. Within 3 ho you're lonely and enjoy being harassed for weeks afterwards. I have told them 4 times to stop calling and messaging, and they continue. Within 3 hours of leaving, they had called or texted 9 times. The next day, 4 more times. I told them to remove me from their lists, and 4 days later I get another call. I have never been harassed like this by anyone but a crazy ex. DO NOT GO IN THERE!!! More
Just bought a 2022 Ford Maverick from them. Worst buying experience I've ever had. Over the years I've owned lots of vehicles but dealing with Freedom Ford? Terrible. Had to order the Maverick, none were in experience I've ever had. Over the years I've owned lots of vehicles but dealing with Freedom Ford? Terrible. Had to order the Maverick, none were in stock. They said it was "On its way." OK whatever that means. I signed the deal assuming the truck was somewhere between Mexico and Canada. Later I tried to find out where the truck was. Sales manager (Wilson Chan) said he would give weekly updates on the truck. Nope, not a one. I tried to phone him. Four left messages throughout the day but no call from him. Finally on the fifth attempt he took my call. Yes the truck was on the train. Yay! Once the truck was here I went in to sign the papers. Finance guy (Seth Pankaj) had previously discussed all of the various extras like extended warranty. I turned them all down. We start signing papers. All I'm buying is the truck, nothing else. I'm a little gullible and trusting. I got home and started looking at all the papers I signed. They slipped in a Windows Protection system ($1,500) and a Ford Protection Plan ($4,300). Yikes $5,800 more than expected. Emailed the finance guy pointing out the discrepancy. I'm told the Finance Manager says too bad your stuck with it. I suggested we re-sign updated papers, it had only been two days over a weekend. Nothing doing. After reading the contracts for these two additional items, there was a full refund cancellation option on both of them. I wrote up the cancellation notices, went back and gave them to the finance guy. 10 minutes later they agreed to rework the paperwork. Got the right contract amount and couldn't get away from them fast enough. Needless to say read and understand everything you sign. Dec. 15 2021 Update: Sales department reached out to me and offered to fix the above situation. It's already fixed because I forced the issue, but the offer to correct the contract issues was genuine and the right thing to do. What I posted above is accurate, but it seems like the problem lies with the Finance Department, not the whole dealership. Based on the efforts of the sales department I'm toning down my criticisms. At this point in time they are indeed trying to rebuild the relationship and I'm a bit more optimistic about the kind of company Freedom Ford is. More
I came in on Saturday, was greated immediately by Martin Song, he referred me to sales lady Stephanie Moses. I told her what I was looking for, she showed me some options, we went for a couple test drives, extremely friendly and never once tried to sell.me something I wasn't interested in. She listen to what I wanted and made sure I was happy with my choice. The next step was going to finance department where I dealt with Ciprian Enache, he was very friendly and helpful and kept me updated during the whole process, which on a Saturday at the end of the month surprisingly didn't take very long . Overall extremely happy with the service they provided and would 100 percent recommend freedom Ford to anyone looking to purchase their next vehicle. More
Bought a used WRX back in June/July. First - the salesperson I did the test drive with filled it up with midgrade. Second - headlight was out and didn't offer to fix. Third - and my favourite - chec salesperson I did the test drive with filled it up with midgrade. Second - headlight was out and didn't offer to fix. Third - and my favourite - check engine light came on, did diag and cleared code. Came back in and they shrugged. Told me to go to Subaru (turns of all the aftermarket parts where taken off and it wasn't retuned), when I came back looking to resolve it where I bought it they were no help. The conversation ended with a You bought it. They were super amazing until I had that issue. Just go somewhere else and save yourself the trouble. Any other dealership I've been to would haven went out of their way. I just spent 40 grand. Super disappointed. More
Worst attempt to buy a vehicle ever! Constant lies, actually got yelled at by the sales manager over me offering 500.00 below asking price. I drove from lacombe to the store and they told me truck won’ actually got yelled at by the sales manager over me offering 500.00 below asking price. I drove from lacombe to the store and they told me truck won’t be ready till next week, even tho they told me To come in. They also without telling me added 60.00 to my buddy-weekly payment, which we did not agree on and thought I wouldn’t notice. Then After I pulled the pin and said I’m out, they Told me I could not get my money I put down for 2 weeks and that they’d mail it to me. ( I didn’t leave tell it was put back in my account ) extremely rude and unprofessional. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Honestly the list goes on. It was the worst vehicle purchase attempt. Simply shocking service and zero integrity! I wish I could give zero stars. They had me travel from Calgary to Edmonton for a vehicle that was broken and undriveable -no one thought to inform me. 3 w could give zero stars. They had me travel from Calgary to Edmonton for a vehicle that was broken and undriveable -no one thought to inform me. 3 weeks later and many communications sent to their General Sales Manager Alan Lim & the General Manager Ryan Nilsen, not a single reply, apology or solution!! In addition, they have still not reimbursed my travel for the wasted day. AVOID. More
