The service area always treated me with respect whenever I brought my 1st Civic in for maintenance. I always felt they had my best interests in mind when we discusssed service needed. Deceptive in many ways Bought a new car in March 2016. Was not happy with price I got in the end - asked the salesperson (Tony Stojanovski) to negotiate price of my trade-in Bought a new car in March 2016. Was not happy with price I got in the end - asked the salesperson (Tony Stojanovski) to negotiate price of my trade-in separately, but he included it into the price we shook on - and I only found out about it when I was signing papers. Still, felt bad for my and his time, and felt that it was partially my fault that I didn't double check earlier, so went ahead with the deal. Then - BEWARE - he told me he "FORGOT" to include tint on the agreement, so wrote it in - without price, too (they advertise it as $599) - and asked me to initial. I didn't think much of it at the time. Now it came back to bite me in a major way. They did HORRIBLE job on the tint. Had lots of bubbles, and their showroom cars did too, including huge-sized bubbles (almost an inch in size). After 3 attempts to repair - still bubbles. Last time my car was with them for 3 days. I finally asked for my money back. Two months later and after numerous conversations the General Manager of Formula Honda Neil Boateng told me that according to Mr. Stojanovski I didn't pay for tint (and we NEVER negotiated tint price or that it be thrown in for free), and therefore I will not see a penny of my money back. What's more, they would not even attempt to fix it anymore. He said it costs him every time, so he just offered a $200 service/parts credit, or $226 credit toward tint job at an external provider. So you be the judge - is that how a respectable dealership should conduct business and treat its customers? (BTW, been religiously going there for at least 7 years for all my services). Also, I recently had to replace tires on my car. They advertise their lowest price guarantee. Guess what? I called Parkway Honda, and their price was over 20% better - without any claims to best price, and I didn't even have to haggle either. The bottom line: 1. ALWAYS double and triple-check everything. If any changes to purchase agreement - ask to be re-printed. 2. NEVER do after-market tint through the dealer. It is not a guarantee of quality, and you'll pay inflated price too. 3. NEVER buy from a salesperson you don't feel 100% good about. Particularly, never buy a new car from a used car salesman. More
Horrible Customer Service Experience Went in to purchase a used Civic for my mom and was greeted by Mr.Tharmalingam who sold my dad his present car (which was way overpriced!) my dad didn Went in to purchase a used Civic for my mom and was greeted by Mr.Tharmalingam who sold my dad his present car (which was way overpriced!) my dad didn't want to deal with him so we went to the front desk to request the service of someone else. While we were waiting for the other sales agent Mr.Tharmalingam came back and kept hounding us to come see the car with him, kept asking us questions and eventually we decided that my dad would wait for the next sales agent while I spoke to Mr.Tharmalingam. He took us to his managers office Jim and said if I'm giving you a discount it would be through my manager so speak to him. The manager right from the get didn't offer a smile or a handshake looked at us as with distaste and said "what do you want me to do?" saying that it was the best price (which is understandable but dissatisfying to a customer).I've been to many dealerships and have never had such rude, uncomfortable and awful customer service experience. I wanted to know if there was anything he could do even drop the price by a couple hundred to which he responded sarcastically Why don't I raise the price by $1000 and drop it by $1000, you'll get your discount". I was mortified and embarrassed by the way he was speaking with me. Things definitely could've been handled a lot better and if I'm spending thousands on a car it is my prerogative to see that I get the best possible deal. I didn't deserve this nasty attitude and rude commentary. If this is how you treat your family, I xxxx sure don't want to be a part of your family. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! More
