Crosstown Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

Unhappybto Happyy I purchased a used 2014 Ram 1500 from Mo Hamden along with his manager TJ Fiddler on July 6,2018. I had a truck to trade in. Mo had his team review/in I purchased a used 2014 Ram 1500 from Mo Hamden along with his manager TJ Fiddler on July 6,2018. I had a truck to trade in. Mo had his team review/inspect my trade and we agreed on the price he would pay for my vehicle as a trade. Now came the negotiation on the difference I would pay to purchase the 2014 Ram 1500. After going back and forth a few times we were $1000 apart. Mo came back from TJs office for the third time and indicated that TJ would not move any more on the $1000 spread but he would offer me the following deal. Mo indicated the deal from TJ was that Crosstown receives a limited number of incentive programs from Chrysler to offer to some customers and that he would use one of his “limited” incentives to complete the deal. The incentive is Chrysler’s Gold plan which would extend the bumper to bumper warranty from Chrysler to 5 years or 100,000 kms. This would extend the bumper to bumper warranty on the vehicle for another 19 months or 57,000 kms. Mo also indicated that the plan would also include 4 free oil changes. Mo also indicated that he would get this plan registered and activated and put in my name on Monday July 8, 2018. I agreed to the offer and paid the $1000 spread that we were apart after negotiating. All good till then. As it turns out, the previous owner had purchased the Chrysler Gold Plan on this vehicle. I assume this was purchased when the vehicle was purchased new and is fully transferable for no charge. I discovered the fact that the Gold Plan was on the vehicle while dealing with the business office and paying for the vehicle. I noticed that on the sales contract that the “Extended Warranty” line was shown as denied. I questioned the fellow that I was dealing with in the business office and he indicated that their was an existing Gold Plan from the previous owner. I paid for the vehicle and left with my 2014 Ram 1500 that I purchased. I confronted Mo the next day as this was not sitting right with me. I feel that I was BAITED OR Intentionally misled when offered this plan from their “Limited “ allotment from Chrysler, when in fact it was already on the vehicle and transferable, to get me to settle on the $1000 spread. Mo is adamant that he did not know the Gold Plan was already on the vehicle.🤔 If TJ knew there was an existing Gold Plan on the vehicle but used one of his limited incentives to get me to agree on the $1000 spread, this is where I feel that I was BAITED OR intentionally misled and offered this incentive to get me to his price and I am not happy. If TJ did not know there was an existing Gold Plan on the vehicle, I suggest he did not do his research and his product knowledge is lacking OR did TJ know and BAITED me with something that was existing on the vehicle and did not cost him anything. You decide. I went to another Dodge dealership two days later and had them in fact confirm that their was an existing Gold Plan on the vehicle, On a positive note, I am happy with the vehicle and would be happy with the transaction if Mo and TJ had in fact used one of their “ limited incentives” to complete the deal. I am not happy due to the fact I feel I was baited, misled or fraudulantly played to get me to the price. So Buyer Beware when dealing on used vehicles at Crosstown because apparently Some of the sales staff do not research to see if there is transferable Exteded Warranty on the used vehicles they sell and may get you to their price offering you one of their “limited” incentive Gold Plans from Chrysler when in fact there could be Existing transferable warranty on the vehicle. Be sure to ask this question early in the negotiation. A HAPPY CONCLUSION TO THE ABOVE SCENARIO. Crosstown has contacted me and has willingly come to an agreement with me that satisfies both parties. I believe it was an honest mistake by the folks at Crosstown that I was dealing with. My opinion of Crosstown has changed from UNHAPPY TO HAPPY as they truly care about their customers and want everyone to feel good about their purchase. I would consider Crosstown for any of my future vehicle purchases. HAPPY More
