Obtained an object in my sidewall this morning. Called into dealership for service. They could not repair it. New tire installed and on my way in less than an hour. The service at this dealership is dreadful - they are rough on vehicles and appear to assume that some of their customers are not very intelligent. The first time that I took my vehicle in for service, rough on vehicles and appear to assume that some of their customers are not very intelligent. The first time that I took my vehicle in for service, it came back without the protective cap that was on the plug for the block heater. The strange thing was that they were working at the back of the vehicle and I was not sure how the cap fell off particularly since it had been securely attached to the front grill with a tie. The next time that they worked on vehicle, they replaced a couple of heat shields. I took the vehicle home parked it and later that afternoon while driving, the check engine light came on as well as a check vehicle stability control warning message. The vehicle was taken back to the dealership where they stated that it need a new right rear sensor. I was advised to replace the left rear sensor as well. $1,100 later and while the vehicle was still at Charlesglen Toyota, I was called and told that an air-fuel ratio sensor needed to be replaced as the warning lights had not cleared!! Could this not have been diagnosed when it was first taken into the dealership for diagnosis? It appears to me as if every time the vehicle is taken to this service centre, another problem is discovered. There were very little issues with the vehicle before I started taking it to this dealership. I have had enough of them and will not be returning. More
June 30 I was on my way home to BC and my 2011 RAV started to have Mechanical issues and I was stranded in Canmore. I was able to have my car towed to Charles Glen Toyota in Calgary. Service Advisor started to have Mechanical issues and I was stranded in Canmore. I was able to have my car towed to Charles Glen Toyota in Calgary. Service Advisor Jason was able to secure Mechanic Rob Masur to work on my vehicle . Rob was amazing, he took his time, to diagnose my car and the problems it was having. He was extremely thorough, diligent and creative. Rob was able to get it running smoothly, so that I was able resume my journey and get home safely. I so appreciated this young Mechanic's dedication to his craft, his skill, the extra effort he put in to getting my vehicle on the road, so I could return home safely. I had two dogs with me and Charles Glen staff made me and my dogs feel very welcome. I highly recommend this facility. The staff are friendly, helpful and very considerate. More

Everything moved very efficiently, and the staff were friendly and answered all our questions. Between my husband and I, we have bought 4 new Toyotas at this dealership, 2 Highlanders, a Matrix and now friendly and answered all our questions. Between my husband and I, we have bought 4 new Toyotas at this dealership, 2 Highlanders, a Matrix and now a C-HR within the span of 20 years. That about says it all, we would not go anywhere else. Bought a brand new 2019 platinum sequoia. When breaking, it keeps shaking. Found out today, it’s my front rotors, and they are “warped.” Just over 35,000km. I am a mom, and drive my kids to school, and bas it keeps shaking. Found out today, it’s my front rotors, and they are “warped.” Just over 35,000km. I am a mom, and drive my kids to school, and basic errands and to work. Causes for “warping,” heat, over torquing, primarily. Not covered under warranty. Almost $500 to replace. In comparison, my husbands Dodge 3500 needed this changed at 89,000km, and we pull a 42 foot trailer on the regular, and he takes it in rough bush terrain. This should never happen to a maintained, quite new, parked in the garage vehicle. Period. My husband allowed me to choose any vehicle I wanted, and I chose Toyota for its seemingly bragging rights of being super durable, Reliability, low maintenance, maintaining value, and SAFETY. 35,000km’s and here we are. Disappointing, Toyota. Although John Perri, and the staff are super nice to deal with, the end result is not okay. More
I was hesitant to go to a Toyota dealer for repairs but what a great surprise. Mark McQeen the service manager took such good care of me and my problem it makes me want to be a Toyota owner. Avoid Alex Whyte if you can - He's a crook I bought my brand new 2011 Toyota Rav 4 at Charlesglen Toyota back in 2011. The dealer was still at the Crowfoot location back then. I took my Rav 4 t I bought my brand new 2011 Toyota Rav 4 at Charlesglen Toyota back in 2011. The dealer was still at the Crowfoot location back then. I took my Rav 4 to the dealer for servicing for years without a problem, until I met Alex Whyte. He's a crook. I took my 2011 Toyota Rav 4 for a standard maintenance service in August 2018 for about $240. Soon after I dropped off the car, I got a call from Alex Whyte, who told me my car has various other problems, when he added everything up, it was well over $2000! He used the scare tactic that a lot of these crooked sales guy use - which is they tell you your car has a problem, something bad could happen to you if you don't repair it, then they leave it for you to decide, but at the end, they emphasize that something really bad could happen. I drive my Rav 4 on highway a lot, so I listened and accepted the $2000 charge. The most ridiculous thing was that about a day later, he told me that their technician broke a part while serving my vehicle and asked me to pay for half of the part, which was $450. I told him why should I be paying for it and I'm not going to, then Alex threatened me in a very cold and very condescending tone - he told me he was doing me a favour and he now was going to charge me for the whole amount ($900). My heart was broken. Alex Whyte - you are a crook! Is this how you treat your long-time, loyal customer? Luckily, I went back to Charlesglen and Colin Wiebe was able to ask management to waive the broken part charge. It was a delight to see some honest people are still working at Charlesgen. But now I tell all my friends to avoid Charlesglen Toyota and Alex Whyte. This was truly a nightmare! More
