Our 4.6 start rating on Google, combined with notable positive feedback on Dealerrater.com, suggests that your experience on Saturday is not the standard we strive for at Charlesglen Toyota. Alex is one of our Senior Service Advisors with years of experience and superior customer service skills. I am disappointed to hear of your perception and will be discussing your concerns with my team. We pride ourselves on open and honest communication which is what has earned us the reputation of “Dealer for the People.” I am pleased to hear you were provided with all possible fees and scenarios when dropping your vehicle off for service; my team make it a priority to ensure none of our customers receive a bill they were not expecting. It is always advisable, for peace of mind, to opt for the extended warranty package. This warranty provides extra protection, for the vehicle, and peace of mind for the owner. Your warranty provides 7 years, or 120,000 km, coverage for all manufacturer defects listed under covered components. In the event a customer brings forward a concern, our policy and procedure, is to provide the customer with a diagnosis fee quote of 69.99-139.99. This is a standard fee at the dealer to determine what repairs are required. Your warranty does cover all manufacturer defects and, once we can determine the issue, we can submit for warranty approval and, pending approval, the cost of the repair and diagnosis will be looked after by the manufacturer. The quote is provided for information purposes and to ensure that you are aware of the possible charges associated with a non-warrantable repair. This process is standard industry practice and, without customer authorization, we cannot perform the diagnosis work to determine repair and possible failure. In the event the required repair does not fall under your approved warranty repairs; the diagnosis fee, and subsequent repairs, would be the responsibility of the customer. It is not possible for the Service Advisor, or any member of the Service Team, to determine the warrantable coverage prior to determining the failure. Our courtesy shuttle service does our best to accommodate majority of our customer requests. With 4 Toyota Sienna Vans, servicing the city of Calgary, we are happy to provide a courtesy service for the convenience of our loyal Charlesglen Fans. Our Saturday customers are still welcome to enjoy this complimentary service however; we limit the serviced to 1 Sienna van; which can accommodate 6 passengers per trip. I am sorry to hear that at your visit we were unable to accommodate you on our full shuttle however, perhaps in future, we may better assist you with a weekday appointment.
