I had my car towed after it started running funny on the highway, and my diagnosis to fix was over 3500$. I towed the car to my mechanic in Calgary 140km away, he cleared my engine code, looked for the prob highway, and my diagnosis to fix was over 3500$. It runs perfect...we have both taken it for drives various speeds and lengths of time, and no sputtering issues or anything. I feel like Ford was about to rip me off and take me for a ride. My mechanic here said since he did nothing to fix my car that isn’t broken, there was no charge. Ford charged me $250~ to scare me into paying a gross amount of money for a ‘problem’ that suddenly doesn’t seem to exist. I feel slightly ripped off, but thankful I went with my gut, and took my car elsewhere. More
