We recently bought a Cadillac Optiq 2026. The service department has been excellent, however, the Sales Manager Kathryn Flynn has been absolutely unprofessional, arrogant, and dismissive! She recommended a charger adapter for the Optiq and told us which one we had to purchase. It was a separate line item and we were charged $410 plus HSt (of which we paid) when we purchased the car. This was after we submitted numerous photos (before the final sale of the vehicle) of our current charger that we have at home. Unfortunately the adapter did not fit (their service department confirmed it was the wrong adapter), and Kathryn agreed to refund the money. It took over three months to receive a cheque and when the cheque did arrive it did not include the HST. I left a voice mail and Katheryn - to this day- has not responded. My husband went in to Budds today as he had some issues with his Optiq (Service department was excellent once again), but Kathryn dismissed the whole issue about the HST and said it was not an accessory but part of the car. Untrue, as it was a separate line item, she specifically recommended the product to us, and charged us for that product. If we knew it didn’t work, we wouldn’t have bought it and it wouldn’t have been a separate line item! Truly isn’t the $53.30 in HST but the principal of it as Kathryn was rude, dismissive and said she did us a favour by refunding us the $410. How did she do us a favour of refunding the $410 but not the HST for a product she told us was the right product, then accepted to refund it becuase it was the WRONG product, and then does not refund the HST we paid? The worst part of it all is the lack of communication, her unprofessional attitude towards her client, and dismissiveness. I am truly surprised that Chris Budd has kept her on his team. If one of my employees spoke to a client the way she did, they would not be employed. Be careful when dealing with Kathryn Flynn at Budds. I do want to reiterate that the service department is excellent - Kathryn could learn a few things on Customer service from them! More

Excellent experience buying a Cadillac Optiq last week! Kathryn, David Shuta and Max were outstanding in their service with us. It was the first time in over 30 years that we bought a new car from a deal Kathryn, David Shuta and Max were outstanding in their service with us. It was the first time in over 30 years that we bought a new car from a dealer and the transaction exceeded our expectations. It was straight forward without any games during the process. David was really knowledgeable during the test drive and proved that we had made the right choice for a dealership this time. Kathryn was very quick to respond (when we were ghosted at another dealership). When the unit that we wanted was sold, she was able to find another vehicle that matched exactly via a dealer trade the same day. That got our business and made a really positive impression. Found him to be an incredibly organized individual who had all our papers that we needed to sign in order. He is also a man with a great sense of humour. The process at the dealership was a relaxing one. No pressure like some places where they want you to buiy right awat. Here we were allowed to think things over and we decided yes this what we want.
