When I took the Journey in to get the rust proofing done my salesman stayed as far away from me as possible. I imagine that was because they owed me a $500 gift certificate that was part of the sales promotion. After several calls and a couple of visits I still haven't received it. The head guy, Warren Sly doesn't bother to return my calls. I've already bought a second vehicle at another dealership. I won't be back to this one again! More
Philip Fisher is a Con artist recently tried to buy a car, made the deal with a hand shake and before papers were signed, this Phil Fisher the business manager comes up to me and s recently tried to buy a car, made the deal with a hand shake and before papers were signed, this Phil Fisher the business manager comes up to me and says he has a sweet deal for a few dollars a week more on extra warranty and rustproofing even though car had full warranty left on it still, this few dollars a week more turned out to be more than $5000 more,( a few dollars a week x 84 months works out to around a $1000) it just did not add up at all, watch for this when dealing with this dealer, when I went to leave after deal was made I asked for the bill but Phil said to just get it when I pick up new car, found out that's why he did not give it to me as he totally over charged and did not want me to see it, I caught this in time as it sounded fishy and they gave me my deposit back even though the ownership had changed over and the new car was mine, but they had to change it back over so I can keep my original car, what a nightmare this was, I just don't know how he can still be there as I see other comments like this one, obviously management must be in on it, they never did say they were sorry, just want to let the public know that most people myself included trust new car dealers and you feel at ease but this was a good lesson by far to learn, good luck people. His budget w These guy's are great at up selling their warrantee's, but they don't stand behind them. I helped my son buy an 08 Civic there last year. His budget was stretched to the max. Phil sold us what he called a bumper to bumper warrantee for piece of mind. It only excluded parts that normally wear like brakes, tires, and such. So far we've had a couple of problems like rear view mirror falling off and taking part of the windshield with it, and a broken trunk- fuel lid cable. Nothing was covered.the windshield is part of the structural integrity of the vehicle. Not exactly a wearing part. Thanks for the piece of mind, Phil. Now he states he never called it a bumper to bumper. Funny how the warrantee changed as soon as the deal was done. Won't get my business again. Brian Pelch. More
BMC: car buying as it should be I recently purchased a new vehicle at BMC and found the experince to be nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I entered the dealership I recently purchased a new vehicle at BMC and found the experince to be nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I entered the dealership I was treated with a degree of courteousy and respect that is often lacking at some locations. I had no immediate need to acquire a new vehicle and was simply laying the ground work for a purchase in the near future ( although like most men, I detest shopping trips). I was introduced to a sales advisor named Orval Thompson who was a pleasure to work with. His only concern seemed to be that I find something that I wanted, in a suitable time frame. We went for a test drive and upon returning, I decided to purchase the vehicle. Although surprised, Orval kicked in to high gear and I left the dealership to attend to related matters. I returned to the dealership two hours later and the GM, Warren, was kind enough to spend an 1/2 hour showing me the ins, outs and intricacies of the new car. Following that, I was left with Phil, the business manager. After reading some of the earleir reviews I assume some have had a less than satisfactory encounter at this stage, but as I knew what I wanted (nothing) and didn't want (everything), the financial aspect of the transaction went quickly, smoothly, and with the same level of professionalism that I had experienced throughout the day. As I was preparing to leave, Orval and Walter (Sales Manager) took a few moments from a prospective customer to come out and thank me for the patronage, to ask about the overall experience and to offer ongoing support with any questions or issues that may arise. The long and short of this review is that I went in to browse for a new car at 11:30 and by 5:30 that afternoon there was a great, shiny new, tagged and insured vehicle parked in my driveway. So I`ll take this opportunity to again thank Orval particularly, but also the entire team at Blue Mountain. And to anyone who`s ever been left wanting after the car buying experience, give these guys a try and you`ll be pleasantly surprised. More

As a person with limited financial means I was looking for a 4 or 5 year old vehicle. After some looking and test driving I negotiated a deal on a 4 year old Journey. The salesman Elliot was very easy to deal with and treated me with the dignity and respect I would expect had I the means to purchase a $40,000 vehicle. When I went to pick the vehicle up on the agreed day and time, there were a couple of delays, but Elliot was literally running to ensure the work was completed and did his best to accommodate me and my children, which was much appreciated. I would also like to thank Phil for his understanding of my financial situation and not pressuring me into something I could not afford. I was open and upfront with these folks and they treated me well. Only time will tell how good a deal I purchased but the initial experience has been positive. More
Never again (worth reading) I purchased my 2nd or 3rd car from BMC fall of 2013. I've always dealt with Orval who is a fantastic person, hence my loyalty . I purchased a VW tha I purchased my 2nd or 3rd car from BMC fall of 2013. I've always dealt with Orval who is a fantastic person, hence my loyalty . I purchased a VW that on the day I was closing the deal, I found out was from a rental company purchased at an auction. I was stuck since another car I was buying from BMC was sold to a wholesale dealer and I had started a job in the city. Since I trusted the dealership, I forged on with the VW, but was disappointed. A review here mentions Phil F. On the day of my closing, which was 5 minutes before store closing, I noticed my payments were much higher than first reviewed. Go back several hours as I was on my way home to Collingwood to close the deal, Phil called me to make me an offer that he called "a sweet deal" on extended warranty that would only add a couple of dollars on the payment. He also said that BOM would give me a better rate as oppose to another institution that would eventually absorb the added monthly cost of the warranty. When looking at the whole picture at home,, the "couple of dollars" turned out to be $3,000 dollars. When I returned and questioned Phil ... after some discussion his rebuttal was "You'll lose in court". I was stunned that he would immediately play that card. At this point, I just wrote off the whole ordeal. I know Orval tried to engage SR. Managers, but they wouldn't engage. So the issues .. 1) two seatbelts were busted 2) the transmission was slipping and then would rev 6000rpm. ... 3) as per the other review, they put bulk oil as oppose to synthetic. I was told by the Barrie and Brampton dealership this will or may void any warranty on the car. My question ... how does a car pass certification with seatbelts that did not work? That is the most basic thing to check for a safety. The car ended up at the Barrie VW for 2-3 weeks. BMC gave me a loaner, but the optics were already soured. I have since purchased another car for my family. I considered going back to BMC again due to my desire to deal with local business, Orval and pretty good service experience. But the bad taste from the above lingered. So I believe I will no longer deal with BMC. More

After recently moving just down the street from BMC I decided I could at least use them for dealer only available parts but I was still refusing to use them for service out of spite. So I drop $115 on parts and have no complaints with the parts manager. He explained how to install the new part myself. I go home and have a little problem removing an existing part to complete the install. I go back and take the new parts and the old parts to the parts manager and show him they are different. He kindly reassured me I just had to remove a little metal part first and then install the new parts. I told him I could not do that successfully myself so he directed me to the service manager. The service manager told me the existing part had to be cut off and it would take about 30 mins. I agreed to have the work done right then without waiting and pulled the vehicle into the service bay. The shop manager looked at the issue and told me the reminder of what I could not remove myself needed to be ground down with a grinder before they could install the new part. I told him the parts manager said it just pulls off and the service manager said it needs to be cut off. Shop guy tells me it has to be ground down due to corrosion and will cost me $57. I asked if he could just try to pop it off now since I didn't have any luck myself and the parts guy said it comes off with some effort. He said it would still cost me $57 just to try but he wasn't going to because the metal to metal fusion will never allow the parts to seperate. I said forget it and I would grind it down myself with my dremel. I went home and had a thought to apply some heat to the metal part which I did with a propane torch. After 30 seconds of applying heat the part simply popped off just like the parts manager said. In my opinion after spending $115 on parts I would expect the shop manager would at a minimum spend some effort to look at the problem a little closer and perhaps try to pop it off himself and not take me for another $57 before even laying a hand on it. Anywhere else that I would have gone would have tried themselves while I was explaining the issue and when they failed it would have gone for mechanical service. You'd think these guys would have dealt with a million of these issues on Dodge vehicles since he said it was a common problem. Well thanks for nothing BMC you just reminded me that after staying away from your service for the last ten or so years, I need to continue to avoid you for another 10 years. You failed to impress me and I will continue to go to Meaford from now on where I know I will be treated right. Your shop manager is not as bright as he thinks he is. Perhaps your parts manager should work in the service bay? More

The deal of the car came with service perks so I thought to have my car worked on by them. Not only did my tire almost Come off after having them changed the guy that came to get my car was sarcastic and rude. They also spilled oil all over my drivers seat while fixing my tire. They cleaned it and gave me a free oil change card. After a year of getting my oil changed I found out they had been putting bulk oil in my golf which requires full synthetic. Approached them and they told me I didn't need that kind of oil for my car. Showed them the manual in my car and then they changed it to saying that if I needed full synthetic I should hVe informed them. A proper garage would have checked before putting what ever they wanted into my car. Then I had issues with my engine. Discovered that the spark plugs were so rusted over that the spark was arching out and grounding it into the coil in my engine. I was furious how during two services they failed to inspect or notice the terrible condition of the spark plugs and now it was going to cost me 800$ to have my car fixed. I took my car else where to have it fixed. Then my windshield wiper stopped working and I needed it immediately fixed since it was winter and bad snow storms were forecasted all week. A wire had come loose connecting the engine to the wiper and it took them three hours to connect it, let it sit in the parking lot for two of those hour because it was covered in four inches of snow. They charged me 90$ to reconnect the wire and then when I went to start my car to warm it up and wipe the windows off the person had left my wipers on and nearly blew out the motor. Was really angry at the lack of professionalism and carelessness with my car. Not to mention that every time I have said anything or complained to them they become angry and snap back with rudeness or sarcastic comments and turn the situation around to be my fault. I had had enough and asked to have my tires from storage there for me to pick up because I was finished dealing with them. The manager asked me for my reasons for leaving their service and I explained my reasons and he said "well those are stupid reasons for not wanting to continue with us" and he actually hung up on me. The next day when I went to pick them up they had pulled the wrong tires and took them two hours to try as find mine before I told them they would deliver my tires to my home the next day free of charge. I have only stated a few of the main events with Themis dealership, there are tons more. This is the worst place I have ever been too and I will never ever go back or suggest anyone to go back there ever! If you want to e treated like garbage and cheated out of money go to blue mountain Chrysler. More
